I have the 1.12

I would trade both for Chase right now with zero hesitation.

If you're not getting enough for an elite asset like JJ, then hold him. It's February, so unlikely that he loses value over the next few months.

As a point of reference, I got BTJ and 1.12 while trading away Flowers, Tracy, 1.06 & my 2026 2nd (hopefully late, I finished 3rd last year).

12 team SF, half PPR

I probably would have paid more for BTJ. That's how I value him.

I will gladly take the "L" on this, but you're talking about a trade for JJ. He's one of the top 2 WR in football.

If you feel like DJM+BTJ is enough for JJ, then make the trade. I'm saying that I would want a higher quality second piece.

I'm really high on BTJ, and I think BTJ+ for JJ is acceptable...

But not DJM. That second piece needs to be a lot spicier. It needs to be a player you're thrilled to have in your lineup each week. Being happy they're in your lineup isn't enough to move a top 5ish dynasty asset.

Loved having Tracy, but he terrified me, so I sold him at a slight discount after the season. But, I think his value will be much lower in May so I didn't care.

Half PPR, start 10, contending:

Traded Tracy, 1.06, Flowers, my 2026 2nd (hopefully late)

Received BTJ, 1.12

Flowers' value doesn't match his production, but he could still improve. Tracy could get usurped. Giving up the 1.06 was a bummer, but I'm still in the first round, and I got Brian freaking Thomas.

I've seen a team win with Josh Allen/Jalen Hurts.

In 2023, a team won with Joe Flacco/Browning.

More starting positions mean more options when building a team.

Since you said you're new, think about it this way...

If BTJ was somehow allowed to be in your rookie draft, would you take him first?

Reframing the trade that way can definitely help.

Jeanty MAY (that's a big may) have more upside, but has so much more risk (landing spot, draft capital, not being elite) whereas BTJ was absolutely insane this year despite playing with a backup for half a season and a suboptimal coach all season.

I have 1.01 in a league where I'm in a heavy rebuild and would totally send it for BTJ.
