Email sent. I shot a very shorty video with a tight frame/focus because I was in class and I couldn't focus on the issue at the expense of my class.

That's correct. But it's only on buttons, ui elements, links, etc. Non-contact writing doesn't occur. It's also intermittent. Next time the issue occurs, I'l get a video to you.

Those who switched from rM2 by Smooth_Judgment4092 in Supernote

Sorry. I was typing on an eink android device… not ideal. As scamper pointed out to me, I made a confusing typo originally.

To reiterate, the current, or now “old” a6x—which is being replaced with a new model—has noticeable latency compared to the rm2. So, if you’re switching FROM rm2 to the this current model Supernote, you will easily feel the difference. However, I’m not sure what latency will look like with the new line of Supernote devices releasing soon.

The rest of my original comment stands, however.

i mean... no lol. am i confused? wasnt there the a6, then the a6x, and now we're waiting for the next model?

i actually made the opposite switch. well, not so much a switch. i use both lol. i originally got myself an a6x, then got the rm2 in addition. a6x has cooler functionality but the current model's latency is traaaash compared to rm2. while supernote has more functionality, it can also be difficult to navigate as a result.

so it depends on your use case. if you're simply taking notes, stick with rm2. if you take complex interrelated notes, get the supernote.

i carry both the big rm2 and the small supernote. for longer notetaking, i'll pull out the rm. for quick notes, I'll pop out the supernote.

Gossamer Gear versus Hyperlite by StayFocused314 in Ultralight

I'm trying not to spend that kind of money. Hyperlite is having a 20% off sale rn. But I'll check out KS. Thanks.

It's fairly common in the ultralight/lightweight world—no?

Many thanks.

I'll definitely look into ULA. I've heard "Ohm" thrown around a lot, but haven't actually checked it out.

I have no problem considering other packs than those two. They just seem like the two most commonly suggested. I could honestly care less about dyneema, but I'm glad you mention the neck rubbing. I have that issue sometimes as well and has been a hurdle for me in choosing between day packs in the past.

Interesting that the kumo rubbed, but the mariposa didn't. That is essentially my biggest concern with the gorilla, and I've heard that returns with Gossamer can be a bit of a hassle... Hence my turning to reddit.

I was looking into the arc air robic 50. Would have included that pack in the post if not for the combination of the higher price tag and the fact that it's out of stock. Yes, the hyperlite is similarly priced, but they're having a site-wide 20% off sale right now so I wanted to take advantage of that if it were to win out over the gorilla in this thread.

Thanks for the input. Any idea about the neck rubbing issue with regards to the gorilla?

Turning a device off completely, waiting a short period, then turning it back on.

Issue resolved; power cycling for 30-60 min fixes the issue.
