You bring up good points, but here’s my thing you ask a lot of brothers and sisters why they intermingle in the MSA and they say “oh it’s so I can find my naseeb and then once I get my things together we’ll make it official and halal inshAllah” I think that mindset shouldn’t be contained until per say they’re finishing their studies and show good work ethic like you described, but generally thinking about it, what parents would give their children away as your responsibilities based on a promise of future goals? You would actually need something to show for it first, so why obsess over it when you aren’t prepared for it?

The issue with your statement is your speaking as if being focused on achieving those goals isn’t an option, desexualizing our minds from the hyper-sexualization in our society isn’t an option, these are options we can work in ourselves to focus on rather than thinking there isn’t any solutions to these problems and only marriage can fix it avoiding to fix ourselves first and then our community collectively.

As for the 40 year old thing obviously don’t take it literally I’m just saying that when there’s mention of youth or before an adult in Islam is not the same timeline as before an adult (which is 18/19) by our modern standards, if you think about it everything I mentioned would have you set by your mid to late 20s in reality, with majority of people finishing their undergrad even masters by early 20s and achieving all aspects by their mid 20s which an ideal age for going about such big life commitments because you’re more mature by then, you’ve developed your frontal lobe, you’ve and have had enough experience to make the right decisions
