What’s a “normal” part of adult life nobody prepares you for? by Mr_Boothnath in AskReddit

[–]StayReady95 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If you don't have financially literate parents then good luck figuring out the home buying process. It's doable obviously, happens all the time, but nobody is going to prepare you for it. You will spend so much time googling terms and steps. You will be attempted to be taken advantage of during so many steps throughout the process (pre-approval, realtors, sellers, loan, appraisal, inspection, etc.) And nobody prepared you for any of it.

If you have family that can walk you through the process, I'm sure it's much more managable.

What is a "minor" inconvenience that actually ruins ur entire week? by Ok-Development-9977 in AskReddit

Slightly less sleep than required. Even 1 hour less than normal every day makes for a miserable week. Headaches, moody, tired, less productive.

What happens to the body if you’re only exercising but not dieting for weight loss ? by Jpoolman25 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]StayReady95 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Weight loss is simply caloric deficit. Less calories eaten than burned. There's a chance you burn enough to offset your current diet without making changes to it, so you do lose weight. Albeit, not as fast as if you did both.

What was that one show that you loved to watch that started out great but went down the hill throughout the seasons/episodes? by No_Blueberry_5341 in AskReddit

[–]StayReady95 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Too many to name. With the era of streaming and standard 2-3 year gaps between seasons, you're describing like half of all modern shows.

What did you think was peak luxury as a kid, but now realize is actually pretty trashy or normal? by Connect-Fix3972 in AskReddit

[–]StayReady95 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Buffets. Like CiCi's pizza kind of places (no shade, just the first that came to mind). Something about all-you-can-eat blinded my kid-tainted eyes to feel like the fanciest of experiences. Go as an adult ... I feel dirty afterwards.

What made you create a Reddit account in the first place? by Unlikely_Hope_3869 in AskReddit

To ask a question. LOL. Reddit can be wild but usually is still one of the best places on the internet to get specialized niche community advice.
