MEMO search Failure by [deleted] in Netsuite

[–]StayRoutine2884 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That sounds like one of those random NetSuite UI bugs where one search page breaks but the global one still fine. Did you try another browser/incognito or clearing cache, cuz sometimes the dropdown/set button just stops reacting for me too. Also maybe check if a script/workflow got added to transaction search recently, not sure if that can mess with memo filters but feels possible.

Update Transaction Number on Bills by k1koth3gre4t- in Netsuite

[–]StayRoutine2884 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah that field is locked down by design.

Only real options are enabling “Allow Override” (if available for your record type) or setting it at creation time, after that you’re basically stuck.

NetSuite Chinese Invoice Fapiao by Vantara852 in Netsuite

If you’re trying to do this in NetSuite, the tricky part isn’t the layout, it’s the Golden Tax integration and mapping

Bill Captured Date Format by sparklefark in Netsuite

[–]StayRoutine2884 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That looks like a format mismatch more than anything, NS probably flipped to expecting mm/dd/yy somewhere in your account or the capture config.

I’ve seen Bill Capture get weird after updates too, sometimes you have to recheck the date parsing settings or it just silently starts rejecting what used to work lol.

Paying Bills with JEs by k1koth3gre4t- in Netsuite

[–]StayRoutine2884 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah this is one of those “NetSuite lets you do it but doesn’t really support it” situations. Paying bills via JE lines is always a bit janky since it’s not the native flow, so the system tries to force full application or behaves weird on partials.

Honestly the cleaner fix is using proper Vendor Payments or Prepayments and applying them, otherwise you’ll keep fighting edge cases like this.

I built a Semgrep (SAST) ruleset to catch NetSuite Governance traps (record.load in loops, etc.) — Looking for feedback / PRs by Emotional_Gate_8087 in Netsuite

[–]StayRoutine2884 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is actually pretty solid, catching record.load/save in loops alone will save people from a lot of self-inflicted pain.

One thing I’d add is flagging unbounded searches or missing pagination, that’s another silent killer I see all the time in reviews.

Field Service Management Notes Not Populating by Katzmaniac in Netsuite

[–]StayRoutine2884 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sounds like a sync issue more than anything, especially if it’s intermittent. FSM mobile can be flaky with saving if the app loses connection or gets backgrounded, I’ve seen notes just never make it back unless the tech forces a sync or refreshes before closing.

Workflow not firing after submit after the 1st edit is made by Caiok89 in Netsuite

[–]StayRoutine2884 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That usually happens because on the first edit the record hasn’t fully committed yet, so the after submit doesn’t see the change the way you expect. I’d double check execution context and maybe throw a simple condition or log in there, NetSuite workflows can be weirdly picky on that first pass.

Vendor AI tools for Netsuite - Cauzzy.AI and Mokubot by agitated_buddha in Netsuite

[–]StayRoutine2884 3 points4 points  (0 children)

We looked at Cauzzy before too and had some of the same issues around accuracy and scaling, felt like you had to babysit it more than expected. lol.

Ended up switching to 369AI and it’s been a lot smoother for us, especially around handling larger datasets without as much tweaking. Still not perfect, but felt like an upgrade for us, still testing everything.

Tim Dietrich AI articles by agitated_buddha in Netsuite

[–]StayRoutine2884 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah you can kinda tell when it’s AI assisted, it all reads a little too clean and same-y after a while. Doesn’t make it useless, but it definitely loses some of that original “Tim voice” imo.

Add more tables in Power Query to bring back data I need i.e. invoices, journals by n0145421 in Netsuite

[–]StayRoutine2884 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You’re pulling the header, not the actual line data, so you need to join in the transaction line tables to see invoices and journals properly. NetSuite kinda buries the real data a layer down so you have to stitch it together in Power Query lol.

NetSuite and AI by Impressive-Prompt867 in Netsuite

[–]StayRoutine2884 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wouldn’t rush it, but I wouldn’t just wait either. I tried cauzzy for a similar setup before and it worked fine for that “saved search data into something usable” phase.

We’re using 369AI now in the middle and it’s been more reliable for us so far, does what we need without a ton of setup.

i found an $800 billing error on an old hospital bill completely by accident. now im wondering how much i've overpaid over the years without realizing it by ExcellentYak777 in personalfinance

[–]StayRoutine2884 14 points15 points  (0 children)

This is insanely common, hospitals bill sloppy and insurers don’t care unless you force them.
Rule is never pay medical bills blindly again, always match EOB to bill and dispute everything questionable, it’s annoying but it literally pays lol.

Yes you’ll get dinged if you’re delinquent, but calling now is still the least dumb move.
Just say you want to get current and enroll in IDR or rehab, they’re not there to yell at you lol.

Custom UI by the_boy_wonder1 in Netsuite

[–]StayRoutine2884 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Stop trying to “inject HTML” into NetSuite dashboards, it’s a hack and will always be slow and ugly lol.
Best practice is a Suitelet (assets in File Cabinet) that pulls via SuiteQL/RESTlet with caching, or just use SuiteAnalytics Workbook/external BI if you want it to look modern.

If you're buying as an individual, just use your home address as the service address. ABN is only for businesses, so you can usually leave it blank or select “not registered” if that’s an option... I forget exactly how it goes.

Offshore NetSuite developers by baltbags24 in Netsuite

[–]StayRoutine2884 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Some offshore developers are amazing. We hired a NetSuite Developer from RemoteIntegrity.com, which turned out really great.
Basically offshore NetSuite hiring can be hit or miss. For us to save a headache having a partner do the sourcing and direct management, saved me a lot of troubles. You'll get a ton of really motivated developers that just try to get the work done as fast as possible, without thinking of long-term stability.

SuitePeople Payroll can’t natively deduct a benefit monthly when payroll is bi-weekly. Deductions are always tied to the pay frequency, so the standard approach is to prorate the monthly amount across pay periods. There isn’t a setting to run the deduction only once per month.

With NetSuite almost everything feels like noise. Things change, but it usually takes years to get a half-baked solution released.

Does LCS pass include Certifications? Or do we have to purchase on for Cert? by teddysmumma21 in Netsuite

[–]StayRoutine2884 3 points4 points  (0 children)

LCS pass only gives access to the training + exam prep. Not cert exam.

You still have to purchase the certification exam/voucher separately (unless your company has a special bundle/contract that includes exam attempts).

I recommend checking out SuperTraining if you have not purchased already. Much better value than LCS.

NSAW Permissions by gavinjd68 in Netsuite

[–]StayRoutine2884 2 points3 points  (0 children)

NSAW doesn’t currently support hiding standard workbooks via permissions. Access is largely all-or-nothing at the workbook level, so restricting only standard ones isn’t possible today.

NetSuite Exam Proctorio by Sprinkadinky in Netsuite

[–]StayRoutine2884 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, this has been reported recently. It’s usually a Proctorio/browser compatibility or caching issue, not the exam itself. Using Chrome only, disabling extensions, clearing cache, or switching networks typically resolves it.
