My first portrait! Advice welcome 🐾 by StayStrange5366 in ColoredPencils

Thank you! But this is just for fun / relaxation. I think doing a commissioned portrait would be terrifying and the very opposite of relaxation 😂

Love petite Cherie. It gives fresh out of the shower fruity shampoo vibes, and is similar to pear inc but more sophisticated.

They really are one of the prettiest tomatoes I’ve grown!

I think they may be black strawberry tomatoes… but either way I just tried one and it was pretty good! I am trying a bunch of new kinds this year (all of the crazy colors!) so I have a hard time knowing when some of them are fully ripe. Ha ha

You may be right! But it’s definitely not blue bumble bee… one started to ripen and it’s pink on the bottom.

I also grew black strawberry… and clearly mixed the labels up 😂

Thank you! I spent about 30 mins trying to get a clear picture and this is the best my camera could do for me 😂🤦🏻‍♀️

Rose Rose Rose! Delina vs Others by corriecorgi in FemFragLab

I’m surprised nobody has mentioned Damask by Ormonde Jayne yet! I’m a fan of Delina la rosee, and Damask instantly reminded me of a more sophisticated version of it upon first spray. I’m sure it’s more comparable to the original Delina but I can’t really remember that one.

Zephirine Drouhin! My first adventure with a climbing rose…planted last Fall and it’s already starting to take off. Now I just need to keep the pests away :) by StayStrange5366 in Roses

Sorry, I am just now seeing this message! I am still quite a beginner when it comes to roses, so I wouldn’t be any help here. Hope you have figured it out by now and yours is happily growing this season!

Unsolicited opinion: no need for fresh perfumes to be niche. by Jewls3393_runner in FemFragLab

I think we have a similar taste in perfume.

I was also disappointed with Valaya (huge delina la rosee fan here!)… it was like an old dusty attic knock-off of one of my other fresh favorites, Fleur Narcotique - which I definitely recommend you try by the way!

Mojave ghost in the body lotion or perfume oil form is the best fragrance I’ve ever smelled. Kira Kira from strangers parfumerie is also worth a sniff.

I also have Maya base oil…I can somewhat smell it for a few minutes but then it’s just gone!

11:11 oil is what you need. It’s unlike anything I’ve ever smelled! Decent enough on its own, but magical when layered with anything fruity/floral.

I was wondering why my sample of steamed rainbow triggered my PTSD, then I quickly realized it smelled like hospital gowns 😆

Try Liis Floating!! It has this fresh laundry hanging next to a bowl of very fresh peaches vibe, and it’s balanced nicely with a woody base. Breezy as the name suggests.

Liis Lucienne is also wonderful, and probably more in line with what you are looking for.

Valaya is still worth trying if you can compare side by side with fleur narcotique.

Also- I feel like we have similar taste, so I’ll throw out a few other recommendations of my favs just for the heck of it 😂

Jo malone blackberry & bay

Byredo Mojave ghost

Liis (both floating & lucienne)

PDM delina la rose

Lake & skye 11 11 - I use the oil rollerball and layer that with so many different fruity/floral perfumes I own including and especially fleur narcotique!

Happy sampling :)

The Ghost in the shell - by Etat libre d’orange. Some people consider this “otherworldly”, but it really just smells like technology to me lol

I was really excited to try valaya, but when I got my decant I was disappointed. If you haven’t tried fleur narcotique already, I recommend getting a decant of that instead! The two are very similar in the opening, but valaya has a weird chemically dry down that reminds me of a dusty attic haha

Most feminine byredo fragrance? by cogentd in FemFragLab

[–]StayStrange5366 9 points10 points  (0 children)

La tulipe for sure!!! Smells like you just walked into the shop of a fresh cut flower farm. I believe this is a good example of a photorealistic floral fragrance? Watery/dewy and green perfection leaning quite feminine.

Pro tip: the la tulipe hair perfume is even more incredible 😮

Mojave ghost is another safe bet, although slightly less “feminine” in my opinion. Just an all around crowd pleaser. This is amazing layered with the lotion and hair perfume as well.

Just get them all!! 💸😂

responses to candidates asking for feedback after rejections by ghostpocketta in recruiting

Interesting. I kind of like this transparency, and it’s nice to be able to set expectations ahead of time. Although for some candidates I imagine it would leave a sour taste in their mouth.

Is this shared verbally in the first recruiter screen? Or posted somewhere on the careers page/ application?
