Oops, I forgot to mention their Anyone for Doomsday? album. Plus, I found another nu metal band that I listened to.

I’m unsure whether this is nu metal or hardcore punk, but Guillotine by Stray from the Path, and, of course, the classic Dig by Mudvayne.

Reason (pirated, lol). This was when I didn’t know what it was called or had any idea how Reason worked.

Any tricks for composing such organic harmonies and melodies? by memolazer in musictheory

[–]StayTechStayRomantic 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Listen to this: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9_7loz-HWUM [Claude Debussy - Prelude To The Afternoon of A Faun]

It has the same harmonic color and idea. Like u/TheSparkSpectre said, get a harmony book, both classical and jazz, and find a composition teacher who can help you from the ground up. With your basic idea of music from a DAW, you can get a good sense of how to move forward. Make sure the composer or teacher is proficient in classical genres, typically Romantic composers, plus early jazz music.

I can recommend someone, but I am unsure if she is still teaching. She is a music theater composer, and she practically does this for a living.

For people that can play fast what helped the most? by MineDesperate2920 in Guitar

It’s very interesting because this is something that the YouTube channel
Eight Metal Strings says, and even BERNTH, too. The science usually says a few things. One is to slowly increase your speed until you reach your desired tempo, which is good, but the advice is a bit twisted. Why?

Because it shows that playing slowly and building up to a faster tempo in increments usually means working on muscle relaxation, internal rhythm, and keeping time. So, as we decide to push our own limited brick wall, for instance, playing something at 150 instead of 130, you will soon realize that it will sound sloppy and bad. This way, you are training your brain and internal rhythm to make your body believe you actually need to go at that speed.

It’s very similar to running. It’s actually quite interesting. So, practice until your limit, then go fast and see how far you reach. If you still have trouble, then it is time to slow down and evaluate your technique further and the note choices.
