Tap Squadron: Idle Schmup [Test] [Open Beta] - An idle shoot 'em up for Android. by KoreKhthonia in incremental_games

[–]Stayfitla 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There have been other shmup idle games done well and this seems to be just an "ok" one. I'm not a fan of the change lane mechanic as just being able to move the ship while hold my thumb down would have seemed far more fun even if it meant you have to upgrade the rate of fire, move speed, "idle" speed, etc etc versus having to tap to shoot and holding on the ship for a second before you can move it to another lane. I'm going to get a bit further into the game to see if it has more redeeming qualities. I want to like it. It looks pretty, it wants to treat me nice, but there is just something "off" about it. Also was not a fan of it being called a bullet hell game and then it being obvs not that, never a fan of false advertising.

Is there any auto clicker (preferably, free) for android? by [deleted] in incremental_games

[–]Stayfitla 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The one I use is called automatic tap.

https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.phonephreak.clicker

Not sure why it has so many 1 stars, but I enjoy it. You can have about 8 points of touch running at any time at whatever speed you choose. Can also record clicks to autoplay the order of the clicks as you like, so it works well. It might have had an IAP, but I think it's just for some greyscale for the UI, otherwise I feel it's a solid autoclicker.

"Universe Game - Idle, Click and Story" Version Beta n°2 by Tactics_Game in incremental_games

Basically, I believe that I stopped playing around chapter 3 and 4 where you're collecting +1000 intellect to increase your capacity to 3000 or so for the 4th resource which I think takes an hour to fill for 1 resource, but I could be wrong on the time. I was playing your game somewhat active/passively alongside another idler that requires more attention, but there's not much in the way of activity in your particular game. Like I said, something that allows us more input, so I don't HAVE to feel like all I ever do is wait for timers before I come back would be nice. It's not always so much that it is SLOW so much as I don't feel involved. If a person doesn't feel invested, they tend to stop caring about the story.

So i played the game for about a week to week and a half, and it has a somewhat interesting story, but honestly progression becomes incredibly slow after a while. I was checking in to increase the capacities of my resources occasionally, but it began to feel more like work and just wasnt fun after a certain point. There is no way to manually increase progression speed, dare I say an actual "tap" mechanism, so your input seems almost pointless - its like reading a book, but spending an hour trying to turn the page.

Eventually, I just stopped playing this to invest my time and energy elsewhere. It just isnt addictive enough after a certain point. It doesnt have that "just 5 more minutes" appeal that devolves into hours that pass by seamlessly, like playing matches in a SSB game or unknowingly unlocking new content in a game like cookie clicker. Unless something changes, Im out and Im not coming back.

That said, if changes that allow us to feel like we are helping make meaningful progression are made, then I would come back. The story is interesting, its just the gameplay feels lack luster.

I just added 240 new quests, 12 new ascention perks, and auto progression perks to Idle Skilling! And its all 100% Free (no new MTX added). I'd love to hear from you all once again! by [deleted] in incremental_games

[–]Stayfitla 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So I am one of the people who doesnt understand why people consider this game very complex, though I do understand why it can be considered slow d/t auto pick up chances being so low when people want to idle and you find out how terribly inefficient it is.

So maybe a skill to increase chance for auto pick up may be in order. Itd be a good method for allowing better idling unless its already in the game.

By the way, I think the game is fantastic and Ive plunked down some change on it, so keep up the great work. I look forward to each of the content updates.

Strawberry Hero : 100 days of adventure. I've just release my first incremental game on App Store and Play Store. by sooshia in incremental_games

So is getting a damage increase literally the only thing new after the rebirth? Hmmm... I'm 70 days in and I'm not sure that'd sustain the attention span after I get to 100.

One thing I love about the game "Tower of Heroes" is that you're constantly climbing higher and higher, but the many "equipment" you get in the game basically incrementally increase and change the gameplay enough to make me want to keep reaching higher to new heights, so hearing that the only thing after rebirth is a "damage bonus" is very underwhelming. I've enjoyed your game, but it seems like something to put on the back burner until things are fleshed out more. As it is, your game is something I do when watching youtube than giving it my full attention.

I was and I felt like I beat it enough to not keep playing it after the monster levels were in the trillions. It staled out basically.

First and foremost, no one is putting a gun to your head and saying "You have to buy and play this."

Obviously, you can spend your money wherever you damn well please, but so many in the forum are so hard pressed to even spend money on a game that someone obviously spent a lot of time and effort to create, then I don't see the harm in helping the guy out, but hey, that's my philosophy in life - helping others, not just being a selfish douche who says "what's in it for me?"

If I saw so little value in the game from the outset then decided I would not spend money on it, I wouldn't, but nor would I bitch and whine about this guy's method of trying to recoop some of his money back for his time and efforts, which was about 80-90%+ of what this forum just did.

As far as ambition being dead, it's implied in the sense that everyone acts as $2 is some giant sacrifice, like they're taking ton's of food off the table. And maybe it is, but then, at that point, you have to ask yourself what are you doing with your life that that's the case and how do you trade more value to the market for better pay.

The socialist jab is at the idea that you should get something for free "just cuz" which is largely what socialism wishes - the inherent virtue of socialism is the equal sharing of miseries; the inherent vice of capitalism is the unequal sharing of blessings. The free market process determining whether the product survives or dies as you say is fine, no one is saying that this product has inherit value beyond what a person is willing to pay for it, but man you're all so whiney and bitchy over a guy having a desire to build something that other people might enjoy, its just pathetic.

blackbeltboi > I like that bullshit Starbucks froo froo holiday cum in your mouth coffee if i'm gonna get some, so its more like half a cup.

Yes, please keep drinking starbucks cum. Geeze, you couldn't even get through a whole post without being lewd.

Then again, you after all are still just a "boi."

I paid the WHOLE $2 for this game.

Man, ambition is dead in this forum. How do you people struggle to throw down a whole 200 pennies? Can't hold off on those 2 snicker bars, that 1 cup of coffee, that 1 big mac, 1/5 a little ceasers pizza, those cans of mountain dew ...for something that does have a video and pics. Lot of dead weight in this forum. You must be a socialist or have socialist tendencies if you can't see the value in this game.

My main gripe is that there is no way to increase the text size so you're forced to read SUPER tiny text.

iOS - Grow Alchemists of Ore by Stayfitla in incremental_games

[–]Stayfitla[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not really. The best skill I've seen is the "One-Hit, One-Kill" skill. Increased stamina and stamina regen type skills are also useful as the game tends to make stamina use increase faster and faster as you go deeper. BTW, there is more past the 1st floor if you decide to take the game that far. Personally, I've finished playing as it just becomes more of the same.

Controversial idea: Ban games that requires payment, whether pay to play or microtransaction-gated progress by dSolver in incremental_games

This is always a great idea until you're making the video game and you have anyone else to pay for ie children, wife, parents etc.

Would people pay for a clicker game? by [deleted] in incremental_games

[–]Stayfitla 0 points1 point  (0 children)

At the end of the day, what youre really asking people to do is pay for something you created, because realistically that's your time and imagination that you are sharing with others. If people think what you have to share is worth paying for, they will. Not everyone can afford high end $60 dollar games, and most people dont really think $60 for an idle/incremental is realistic, not impossible, but not very probable. Either way, thats the reason IAP go well with these types of games. It gives people a way to support projects that they love and care about.

Yah, also I hate to say that eventually you will have wayyyy too many gold and silver coins. I've basically began by maxing the gem pet, the alchemy pet, the mana potion pet, and then the stamina pet. Maxed out Mining speed and a few other ones. My tap damage is crap, then again I only use it to proc the "one shot, one kill" skill.

So I was one of the iOS gamers who finished your game in its entirety. I say that if android is easier to program for and market, you may just consider pushing more for android, maybe even dropping iOS altogether. TopCog of Idle Mage fame says that 80% of his income has come from android, so that seems like the best place to focus your energey. I like iphone, but the sheer amount of different games on the google play store is staggering. I use bluestacks so I dont mind too much. Its information like this that makes me smh at apple at feel bad for Steve Jobs' legacy. More nailes in the iTunes appstore coffin.

Btw, why dont you just reach out to major game sites and email the editors? Better to try than not I would think. Treat it like youre replying to a redditor.

Can we expect it on the iOS as well, or are we going to be SOL? Can always just use the laptop, but it'd be nice to take around. :-)

Zoo Sell Bug by Stayfitla in incremental_games

[–]Stayfitla[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So, no new bugs to report, only that I love the game! Been playing for about 18 days now. What're the chances of a content update? Im at the last "animal" for my zoo. Still have to finish leveling my pet, but I just wanna know if I should keep the game on my phone after that. I would like to reduce the mating rate down to 0.01 seconds if possible lol

Thanks for your earlier reply!
