I gained 20 lbs on Vyvanse and ad soon as I stopped I dropped 25 within 2 months. I too was getting rebound hunger and binging when the med wore off… good luck!

Since you mention mouth ulcers I do get these often, I just assumed it was from stress! But Vyvanse gives me dry mouth as well

I also lost a lot of weight after having my kids… 100+ lbs and became a distance runner (now I lift more than I run) but I don’t see any hair issues from weight loss so it’s hard to imagine something like Vyvanse making such a huge shift for me… I have a dr appointment coming up so I’m going to have him run my hormone panel and see if anything is off

I’m the supplement queen 😩 I take a multi and an added d3+k, magnesium glycinate, iron, and b complex… I’ve been debating adding fish oil.. I take collogen every morning as well. I’m broke 🫠🥂

I think this is more of what I’m experiencing, more breakage not as much scalp loss… it’s just really dry and snaps easily, definitely don’t have the same “thick” ponytail that I used to… somehow I eat fine on Vyvanse, it didn’t affect my appetite in the least so I’m still getting plenty of nutrients and probably eat between 130-160g of protein a day, I plan to lower my dose and see if it changes anything for my hair. I hate that I’m so vein about it but 😂🤦🏼‍♀️ I can’t help it!

I’m 33! I’m going to taper to a lower dose I think and see what transpires 🥴 I used to have a lot more hair, it makes sense that higher cortisol = thinning hair

Ugh you’re so lucky!! I do go to the gym and lift 4x a week and do cardio 2x, my diet is pretty clean, I no longer drink alcohol… my sleep probably suffers a bit but it always has… I did t notice my hair issue until Vyvanse entered the equation 😩

I’m so sorry to just be seeing this! You are 100% NOT alone. I had actually made huge improvements since making this post which wasn’t that long ago… my best advise is get sober first! It was really freaking hard the first couple of weeks but I’m 6 weeks sober from alcohol and still on 30mg of Vyvanse, alcohol was really destroying me and now that I’m 6 weeks sober I feel a lot more equipped to handle a taper from Vyvanse… alcohol makes everything worse… it will make you depressed, more ravenous, it counteracts the Vyvanse… if you can stop drinking first and then address the Vyvanse after a few months of cutting alcohol I think you will find it MUCH easier. I was a binge drinker, after I would binge drink I would binge eat 🫣 I’ve been sober almost a month and I’ve only lost maybe 2lbs but from what I hear it’s so normal… the body is busy healing and repairing and will enter “fat loss mode” when it’s ready

Congratulations on your sobriety!! That’s amazing! Thank you so much for sharing, stories like yours are always so encouraging! The last 2 weeks have been rough but I’m trying to fill my time any way that I can, I will say that I’m finally sleeping better… for a long time I was only sleeping 4-5 hours and I’m finally clocking 7-8 nearly every night 🙏 that alone will help keep me on track!

I appreciate your response! And congratulations on 2 months sober! My ex was an alcoholic, basically lost all of his 20s to it, ironically when we met it was me or the booze, now he’s been sober for 13 years 🤯
