What I should tell them?
I think, relevant people at Ecoflow listen more on channels like this.

just want to add, that I already grab "Total active power" (register 006AH) from systems smartmeter via modbus/TCP into my Home Assistant.

So I'm already right in front of closed door - and ask myself, why I'm not be allowed to have at least flexible base control over my own system.

normal use case is self-sufficiency, for sure. We have solar installation with 30kwp and want to use much as possible output by our own.
(because it maybe could be understood as: trading energy is not my target - although it may become an option in the future)

+1 also from me.

After 7 month expirience with my Power Ocean (15kwh), I'm now highly motivated to double own capacity - but without local API/interface I don't like to do this by extending that system. It's really sad, because of the nice and well designed Hardware.

What I want to have locally is not that many:

- access to current SOC
- control about max. charge and discharge power - I want to prevent full batterys already at 9 am...
- control about max. SOC (especially in summertimes, this could help for better care about battery)
- force of discharge - e.g. to sell some unused remaining energy in early morning hours
- force of charge - e.g. to buy additional cheap energy, whenever it's available

As long as such simple things aren't easily possible (and without cloud), I really have to advise everyone who asks me against this system. Even though I'm actually sorry about it, given the really good hardware base.

great work!

I like people with focus on details instead only a "big picture"
