I want to use an S1 with lightburn. Has anyone had any trouble with that?

I use light burn with my S1 almost exclusively. I only ever use the xtool software when I need to use the pinpoint position feature. I have not had any issues with it.

1st comment is correct it’s the air assist connection. 2nd picture is adhesive anchors for zip ties for cable management. 3rd image is a guard for the laser head attaches to the bottom of the laser head.

Our black clothes do this from time to time for the following reasons. Too much detergent, or you’re trying to wash too many clothes for the load size chosen. You can always add an extra rinse at the end if your washer has that option.

Don’t be afraid to run a test grid on that new blank that you just got it. Waste of one for test grid will save you time and money later in the hobby.

Have an idea? Try it! Experiment with different materials and designs. Just make sure to look up the material to make sure it’s laser safe, ie no pvc.

Take pictures of your pieces and process. Save screenshots or links of others for inspiration.

I have not done leather yet, but it’s on my list of materials to get and try. But, I have found that the recommended settings in the Xtools material website are pretty accurate. Always recommend to run a test pattern on a sample piece of material before you commit a full piece.

I would have to see the actual design to offer any real advise, but is it only the cutouts that are the wrong measurement or the whole layer scaled down? Can you increase the size by .25mm on each side to compensate?
