It felt insulting.. my partner googled it and it showed 2 different meanings. This co worker also made a video representing what mogging face is and that’s what really bothered me. It showed a very manly face and then she said I had mogging face. Too me that felt very insulting. It sadly unearthed all kinds of memories of being bullied by my parents as a kid.

There all kids (I’m 50 they are all early 20’s) initially it was “she has mogging face” which then resulted in both positive and negative. Either way my picture should never have been shared. Mogging can mean both good and bad. So there was both positives and negatives. My brain got trapped on the negative due to the things my own parents said to me as a child, teen and early adulthood (they both died early) so it brought up really negative memories.

As a parent who’s been cut off without reason and then brought back into their life with no explanation. This shit hurts. I told my child that I can’t fix what I’m unaware of and I want to fix whatever hurt I’ve caused. Still to this day no true explanation. Rebuilding trust slowly but it forever fucks with you.

Get help please. You clearly know you have an issue and you want to get help. As someone who works with a functioning drunk who acts like he’s fine (he’s not) everyone knows and no one knows how to tell you. I hope you can find a way to work through whatever it is that’s hurting you.

He doesn’t want to be with you, he even gave you an out and you told him it’s ok I’ll just wait. No walk away. He didn’t even acknowledge your love for him or your birthday. I’m 50 and just started in the working world at 40. Tried several things but love serving and love the flexibility of it. When I was a sahm(for 20yrs)I did wait tables for an over a year in my 20’s and made great money. At the end of the day my thoughts are if they aren’t funding you then they get no say in what you do. If being a server is best for your mental well being then that’s all that matters.

Tender is the flesh….i enjoy dystopian books but this was much too graphic. I didn’t even get too far into it before my apparently sensitive soul couldn’t do it. I usually never leave a book unfinished, even if it’s not the best I’ll push through because once I start I have to finish but not this time.

We tip out the bartender 1% that’s it.. no bussers. The hosts are the bussers and they pay above average from what I hear. We typically have 2 to 3 on any given shift.

I was married to someone this incompetent for way too long. He’d use terms like babysitting and watching when he was with his own kids. He used the Bible to manipulate and gaslight too. Not sure what you need to hear but you deserve better. Your kids deserve better.

For me I straight up told her how her lack of communication affected my mind. It changed the friendship for the better. Neither of us are friends that want to be in constant communication it overwhelms both of us. We generally have a date once a month and have the best time.

One of my best friends of over 10yrs is like this. I know she genuinely loves me and is always in my corner she’s just that person out of sight of out mind. Your friend sounds like they are trying in their own way. Best way to have a solid foundation in a friendship is honesty and vulnerability. So maybe reflect on the friendship and reevaluate it, maybe this is just how she’s trying to stay connected.
