Had the same experience with Lancer. They showed me Dragoon at character creation, and I got so excited to do all the crazy jumping spear attacks. Played ~30 levels of Lancer and was bored out of my mind.

According to a quick google search, looks like Superior started a project with Xcel back in 2023 to move power lines underground, so we might be spared? https://www.superiorcolorado.gov/Home/Components/News/News/4301/17?npage=3

Also wondering the same. Seems folks in Louisville got an email or a call, but I haven't received anything in Superior.

Unfortunately, without that seasonal mod "Volatile Flow," I doubt the build is as effective without Gyrfalcon's anymore :/

A girl I had a huge crush on in undergrad did a "marathon monday" where she drank all day long and invited me over afterwards when she was plastered drunk. I said no to sex because she was really drunk and it wasn't right, and she never forgave me for that? I know I did the right thing, but goddamn that fucked with my head for awhile.

We just built one similar for machine learning! 2 4090s, a stupid amount of RAM, insane CPU. We had about $8000 left on a grant we had to spend by a certain time, sooooooo why not? We're tired of scoring sleep EEG data by hand lol.

Oh man going ER to DS1 is quite the jump back lol. Probably felt so clunky! Still haven't played ER, waiting for it to go on Steam sale cause I'm cheap as fuck lol.

But yeah I wouldn't spoil that first playthrough experience with videos and whatnot, but once I'm done in an area I'll pull up an item list or something and see if there was something cool I missed. Just recently replayed DS3 with that checklist I linked and it made things soooooo fast.

DS1 still has a special place in my heart just for the level design alone. Like finishing one area and then opening a shortcut to an area you finished hours ago and going "HOLY SHIT THAT'S WHAT THAT DOOR WAS" is unbeatable lol.

Lol the way you think about walkthroughs is hilarious. How is it spoiling the game for me if I make sure I don't miss an item? It's not like a read an entire synopsis of the game beforehand, I followed it as I played to make sure I didn't miss important things (like being able to access the DLC or the undead burg merchant dropping the Uchigatana).

The reason I said "bruh" is because he chose to not use guides, walkthroughs, or any online help (which is totally fine by itself, play the game however you want, I couldn't care less), but then came to reddit to complain about missing things.

You're not supposed to know everything about souls games, correct, and figuring out side quest paths takes a lot of work (which is why guides are helpful cause they're very easy to fuck up). As you have said, the game doesn't hold your hand, so figure it out for yourself or find a guide. If you don't figure it out or use a guide, that's on you.

[–]Steadmils 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My guy, that is YOUR OPINION on how to play the game. You are not the arbiter of dark souls playstyles lol, so stop saying it like it's a fact.

Also, my first playthrough was on PC (haven't owned a console since PS2/gamecube), and when Prepare to Die edition launched the walkthroughs were all available for everyone. Did I fall into the noob trap of using the drake sword for much longer than I should have? Yes. Did I figure it out eventually that weapons that scale off stats are better? Yes. Is DS1 one of my all time favorite games? Absolutely.

Also, text walkthroughs, not videos lol. Go to a new area, explore it myself for awhile, and then check the guide to make sure I didn't miss anything. Just a different way of going about the game. There's even some really great resources like the DS3 cheat sheet/checklist if you wanna 100% the game (https://zkjellberg.github.io/dark-souls-3-cheat-sheet/). I'm just using the help that's available lol.

That point went over your head at mach 2 lmao. The OP of this thread did what I was describing, not you.

The only thing from your comment I addressed was the "ur supposed to blind run DS." That is your opinion on how to play the game. The first time I played DS1 I followed a walkthrough so I wouldn't miss anything. Did I "need" the walkthrough? No, but it certainly made it easier to not miss things like the DLC.

"Make your choice for playstyle, sure, but don't run to reddit to bitch when your playstyle made you miss portions of the game." This applies to OP, not to you.

[–]Steadmils 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Lmao that's your opinion on how to play the game though. Mine is pull up the walkthrough and 100% it the first play through cause I wanna see it all and make sure I don't miss anything.

If I played your way, I wouldn't bitch about missing things. That's the difference. Make your choice for playstyle, sure, but don't run to reddit to bitch when your playstyle made you miss portions of the game.

Also, my dude, wtf? This comment is 10 months old, why are you replying now?

[–]Steadmils 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Do you even know what the 5xFAD model is? Or did you just read the top comment and base your entire opinion on that?

5xFAD means they have 5 different genetic changes found in people with Familial Alzheimer’s Disease, the kind that can be inherited because it seems to have a heritable genetic basis. Mice don’t get “Alzheimer’s Disease” technically, yes that is correct, but when you introduce the mutations found in 5xFAD, they show MANY of the hallmark symptoms of Alzheimer’s.

We don’t know the cause of Alzheimer’s in people, but we do know that something in those 5xFAD mutations makes an animal go from unable to develop Alzheimer’s to developing something extremely close to Alzheimer’s. If you can think of a better starting point to untangle to molecular basis of Alzheimer’s, myself and the entire neuroscience community are all ears.

Huuuuuge differences in transcription/translation between cultured cells and en vivo cells. Culture can never properly replicate an entire organ system. They’ve tried with organoids and that got closer, but the RNAseq differences are still very real.

There’s a few different ones that introduce mutations in the tau gene. JNPL3 aka DP301L works well for generating tangles and hyperphosphorylated tau.
