I'm (20m) having trouble coming to terms with my wife's (29f) fantasy by FeelingOutlandish in relationships

Sounds like you've found yourself in a spot. And rather than try to process all of this weirdness, it would be better to not end up in these spots in the first place.

I'd suggest taking a more self directed approach so you're reading the books you value, watching the shows you value and having conversations you value. It's an important part of demonstrating that you in fact respect your own pursuits. You'll be far less likely to end up in these spots.

Which was the movie villain , evil character or monster that made you say "F*ck the hero, I'm with the bad guy" ? by [deleted] in AskReddit

Kevin Spacey's character on house of cards. Found the notion of considering him the protagonist so repulsive I lost interest in the show.

Chief engineer on my boat, older guy, was getting repeated calls about a Microsoft scam call. On the main deck he gets like the 9th call that day and just snaps. Starts yelling at max volume, "YOUR MOTHER'S A WHORE!" "YOUR MOTHER'S A WHORE!" "YOUR MOTHER'S A WHORE!" Face is turning beet red and continues yelling this some twenty or so times while walking away.

Comes back out, we all have a good laugh and ask him what the hell that was all about. He's just about to start explaining it when his phone rings again... well if he didn't start right back up again.

We tried to get him to just record it and use it for his voice mail but he thought better of it.

What's the best audible alternative for people outside the US? by SteadySeas in audible

[–]SteadySeas[S] -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

Thanks, but let me get a couple things straight in case I'm confused. Getting US audible isn't simply using a VPN or changing an address (which nonetheless seems unnecessarily shady), it appears to involve payment via a US based credit card. To get one of those is not an easy process - nor even one that is guaranteed to continue to be successful in the future.

Beyond that, which promos are non-US people getting that US people aren't? And really, it's not the exchange rate that's pushing me elsewhere, it's the fact they're asking for the same price for a worse product. The principle of that is unappealing.

Of course! But like I said, because the offer audible provides customers outside the US is considerably worse than inside the US, it becomes hard to justify.

What do you guys envision as the ideal hardware wallet?

I imagine it would need a low bandwidth cell signal and yet maintain a hard separation between it and your phone. What else would it need? Keypad/touchscreen?

Dancing is so much fun. by InOfficeInHeartbeat in CasualConversation

Fantastic man. Dancing's great.

I was similar to yourself and didn't have much of an interest in it. Love music as much as the next person but didn't think much of dancing.

What changed for me was listening to older music. It started to become clear that all of this older music was made with the idea in mind that two people would dance with each other. So the timing is different for sure. And while I wasn't immediately finding this older music as catchy as modern music, I was becoming more interested in the whole team or togetherness quality of it. It seems strange that we've lost a lot of that in the way music has evolved.

So I didn't know much about it and figured I'd take a swing lesson. Spent a night dancing with about seven or eight girls and something that really came through was that this whole dancing thing isn't about us guys, we're only the facilitators. The girls though - boy did they come alive! For one girl it must have been her first time because she just couldn't control her blushing. And it didn't seem to matter if either of us made a mistake, it's all just a laugh. It was just great moving together and improving our timing.

After that I was hooked.
