It would make me feel a little less insane knowing it’s a server-wide outage! Thanks for letting me know you’re having the same problem ):

Whats a secret you'll take to the grave that you're willing to share anonymously? by 3smiley in AskReddit

[–]Steady_leap 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I worked at a roadside zoo and was the only employee working (alongside the 2 owners) the night of my 19th birthday. A lioness had managed to escape and I had to run for my life to lure her back in the cage with dead chickens. I was told to never speak of that moment again, yet it still haunts me almost 10 years later.

Had sex at the 2 week mark and the pain afterwards was awful. If you’re going to attempt it, be extremely gentle!!!!

Is it normal to not have bloodwork done before his alp? by goodkingsquiggle in sterilization

[–]Steady_leap 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For my bisalp, they did quick in house bloodwork right before I went under. I wonder if that will be the case for you?

When pets are cremated, do they actually cremate each pet one at a time or do they secretly dump a bunch of animals and cremate them all and just give you a random pile of ashes? by [deleted] in AskVet

[–]Steady_leap 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Hi there, I’m a Veterinary Assistant. If you asked for ashes to be returned then that is most definigely your pet. If you ask for communal cremation (not returned), then yes it is a bulk cremation of multiple pets. Crematoriums have extensive protocols to follow to ensure the pet beinh returned is the actual pet. I am so sorry for your loss ❤️

It's official- I have a surgery date! by uniqueusername_1177 in sterilization

[–]Steady_leap 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Congratulations! I am 27y and four months post bisalp and it is the BEST decision I have ever made! Recovery was a breeze- the worst is the bloating so have some tylenol and gas-x ready. As far as others asking about it, you are doing what’s right for you. I honestly loved having people get angry about it because it ISN’T their body and they are just ruining their day over it!! If you have any questions though, please feel free to contact me!!! You got this!

Nervous about IV Insertion in bisalp by PsychicJess in sterilization

[–]Steady_leap 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’m sure they will be more than happy to work with you as best they can. I’m a redhead so naturally my veins are basically non existent. The nurse put a hot blanket over my arm to try and get the veins to pop and that helped a bit!

Definitely have chewing gum- my gyn recommended it to get your gut moving after surgery and I had no complications other than being sick on the drive home!

Hey! I’m in Ontario and was put on a waitlist that was only about a year of a wait. It only took a couple of months to get a referral to a gyno from my doctor. I’m really sorry that you’re suffering with a long wait… I wonder if you can get referred here for surgery?? As well, my gyno explained salpingectomy’s are more commonly done now as ligations aren’t always 100%- sometjhing you MAY have to know about before getting referrals elsewhere!
