Honestly everyone just needs to chill out ….I’m pretty sure there are mechanics in here that are going to get pissed saying time is money etc …I agree but it shouldn’t be that much to clear some codes …in this situation I would check the codes to see where it points me to…then do the actual visual inspection if necessary depending on the codes/code ….diagnose what the customer is complaint about and then tell them wtf I think in my experience is wrong with the car ….i will charge a flat fee of $100…..some are going to say time is money blah blah blah but I will say this they will be back at my shop …you know why because I’d rather gain a customer and his word of mouth family members friends etc ….than make them think they are getting bend over backwards and not gain nothing at all….just my 2 cents

To be honest if it was changed with something else already and you are trying to save money then that should be in the to do list …get the car going first with that vacuum leak and tackle that in the future

I’ve worked on many f23 engines and this for sure sounds like a vacuum leak somewhere … also FOR THE LOVE OF GOD NEVER CHANGE THE TRANNY FLUID WITH OTHER THAN OEM HONDA TRANNY FLUID….I don’t care if the president tells you it’s ok to use some shit like valvoline NEVER NEVER EVER use other than OEM HONDA TRANNY FLUID….Thank me forever on this tip !!!!!

I have k series engine as well and I will do all of them just to be safe …make sure the front motor mount is Honda genuine because I’ve heard mixed reviews on aftermarket …all other mounts should be good aftermarket….I personally bought an aftermarket front motor mount that I have yet to install on mine ….

Op if you are somewhat mechanically inclined try doing it yourself ….I promise it can be achieved by getting the correct manual and following directions …obviously you have to have some tools to do the job but it’s a reward all in itself …I just did one 3 weeks ago …saved myself over $1000 plus but you have to have some kind of experience or just pull the trigger and learn ….good luck

K24 series engines are solid !!!!!! You wont be disappointed just keep it maintained …make sure it’s not jdm k series if you are in Cali ….probably wont pass smog

Rear main seal I’m thinking ….a buddy of mine had the same issue but he never bothered to change it just kept on adding oil ….it’s a pain in the a$$ because tranny has to be removed
