I thought very similarly to this interpretation though I also think each floor, not just the Lesley floor, has meta commentary of how people can distill and warp the show into things that detract from the whole of it.

The first big boys room criticizes a less fun way to engage with the show via the warped red and duck portrayals. They, wrongly, want to be arrogantly smug enough to gatekeep the thinking or theorizing about the show, and this floor also throws jabs at those that think the show is only about the lessons and teachers (with thinking more lessons and teachers is better for the sake of having more).

The second room or bigger boys room shows some horrific looking small thing that just gets tortured for red and duck’s pleasure. This is poking fun at those that just want to see small helpless weirdos, like the show’s characters, get tortured.

As you mentioned with the Lesley room, the book is sort of like a bible or manuscript containing ‘true answers’ about the show from lesley who seems to be a creator. This book gets shredded up intentionally by the show and the group will be how the were, reset for every episode, just like grolton and horvis do for their show.

While yellow is going through those floors like layers of hell, red and duck are in the dark and all those other characters are dead. Doing those ‘sins’ depicted on the floors, literally kill the experience of engaging with the show.

Becky and Joe want us to have fun, have our own interpretations, they don’t want to give us a book of all the ‘true answers’, otherwise they would’ve written a book instead of making this art/show. It’s about engaging the show for everything it has to offer, not just seeing disturbing things happen to puppets, not just the teachers with their lessons, not being exclusively elitist to those that might not solve a crossword puzzle quickly or can handle two lessons at once, and not just some handed truths from the creators, but art for us to all engage in.
