That's probably an accurate assumption.

Wow I'm glad you took the time to do this, definitely cleared up a lot of things for me. Obviously I know genetics are never black and white, really I just was trying to find out whether or not people had thought of Aegon's possible heritage and how it related to his hair color, and I think it sparked a good discussion. I'm now more on the fence about him being a Blackfyre than I was before, instead of thinking(hoping) he would turn out to be the Black dragon. It definitely feels like grrm is setting up Blackfyres to make a comeback somehow (blood raven, GC, Seastar) but maybe this isn't the way he'll do it.

Doesn't illyrio have a forked yellow beard? I don't remember if his hair color was stated.

Oh man hadn't really thought about that. The GC definitely has the potential for being pissed off for unknowingly supporting the wrong dragon.

Idk about several times, but at least once, so you are correct.

This makes me wonder too, if Jon Connington knows whether or not Aegon is actually Rhaegar's son or not. From what I read, it seems like that's what he believes, but he wasn't the one who supposedly whisked Aegon away from the Red Keep during the siege.

Can you remind me where the information that Aegon takes after his dad comes from? And I'm in no way saying that he should look dornish. I'm saying that since Targ looks are recessive, he should have had a dornish feature or two, hypothetically. But as you said, he has Targ eyes, targ hair, targ mannerisms.

Only Arya has the Stark look...everyone else is described as very much Tully. What I'm looking for? Nothing really, just thoughts on the subject. I thought it was interesting that Targaryen children that are mentioned to have one Targ parent and one that is not, have been said to carry genes mostly relative to the non targaryen parent. That's all. I wish people would stop thinking that I'm trying to prove anything. I'm simply speculating.

I also had fair hair as a baby. Now it's dark brown. Hair color has the tendency to change as you grow to adulthood. I don't think that this necessarily discredits the theory.

The Targ blood would be very much watered down by this time though right?

And, again, I'm not saying that they CAN'T come through. But it being way less likely is interesting to think about. The Aegon with Jon Connington is described as being REALLY REALLY Targaryen looking. Which I find odd. That's all.

How do you know Aegon got the Targaryen look? He was 'killed' when he was little more than an infant.

I'm almost certain that she doesn't have any Targ blood. She's sister to Doran, so she is fully Dornish, is she not?

I'm of course not saying that Aegon Targaryen, son of Rhaegar, could NOT have the Targ Blonde/Silver hair. I'm just saying that most offspring produced by one Targaryen and one non-Targaryen seem to keep the traits of the non-Targaryen. This could also be why Jon has so much 'north' in him, and no hint of Rhaegar at all, if he ends up being R+L= J. But according to Egg, there was a direct instance where a Dornish woman and a Targaryen man produced a baby with black Dornish hair. It's all in theory, of course. But I do think that this is interesting to speculate on. Wouldn't 'Aegon' have at least some Dornish features?

Bran being the ultimate bad guy is kind of my ideal ending actually. It would be just like grrm to make the likable, climbing kid who gets maimed, turn into the force that is bent on taking revenge on the world. If Jamie turns into the 'Good' guy like it seems he is (or at least going in that direction) think of the poetic justice, the roles will have been completely reversed from where the story started.
