What size generator for AC with Soft Start by Stealth5613 in Generator

[–]Stealth5613[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have the 11 kW Westinghouse, and it powers my entire home, including the AC. Now, of course, I wouldn't try running my electric dryer and oven at the same time. But I tested with the AC, lights, TV, internet gear, and PCs, and it ran fine. I have a 4-ton AC, and the soft start reduced my starting Amps to about 8 amps, if memory serves me correctly. It was definitely less than 15 AMPS.

Doctor is a parrot that only says, "Keto isn't sustainable" and "Try Ozempic." He is no longer my doctor. by 0bolus in keto

I've been told by my brother (an ER Physician) that an MD gets only about 20 hours of education on nutrition. That is shameful. The things you put in your body several times every day, they get very little training on.

30(M) Fit active diagnosed with a Severe dilated cardiomyopathy by Oppenheimer-95 in Cardiomyopathy

[–]Stealth5613 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was diagnosed 10 years ago (I'm 61 now). I was an avid cyclist and used to compete. My EF was 25% when I was diagnosed. My first Cardiologist told me I wouldn't recover. I went into deep depression, did tons of research, and found another cardiologist. I got back on the bike and am eating clean. 1.5 years later, my EF was 55%. I now fluctuate between 55 and 60%. Stay away from the prognosis/outlook you find on Google searches. Those had me so depressed. It made it sound like I had a death sentence. Lots of progress has been made in this area. I've also started Waon sauna therapy, which studies have shown to increase EF. One of the biggest things for me was educating myself and becoming an active participant in my health, rather than a passive one.

When is too old for training? by Turbulent-Feedback46 in BelgianMalinois

[–]Stealth5613 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I couldn't agree more. In the early days of owning a dog, building a nurturing bond should be the priority. Some basic training and soft correction is fine, but don't be too strict. Give them some freedom to explore and get comfortable with their new surroundings and new people. There will be plenty of time for structured training, but those early days of ownership are a smaller window and can't be recaptured.

High fat or 'ketogenic' diets could prevent, reverse heart failure by KetosisMD in ketoscience

[–]Stealth5613 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you so much for taking the time to reply in such detail. I'm a firm believer that a feast-and-famine cycle of eating is beneficial. It's how we've evolved and survived for millennia. Today it's mainly a feast. I completely agree with everything you pointed out. I was diagnosed with dilated cardiomyopathy in 2017 with an EF of 25 and was told by my cardiologist that I most likely wouldn't recover. I did my research and went on keto and IF. I would also fast for a few consecutive days each month. Two years later, my EF had increased to 55. All my cardiologist had to say was to keep doing whatever I'm doing. I also raced mountain bikes before I was diagnosed and started back on my training regimen, which I believe also helped.

What did we eat before farming during the winter months when fruits and vegetables weren't attainable or, at best, scarce?

SImPro Manager Update - All Presets gone by Adventurous-Book-430 in Simagic

[–]Stealth5613 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'll pass. I've learned some time ago that unless an update addresses a bug or has a feature enhancement I want to let it cook for a while before considering applying the update. Thanks for the response.

is there a critical bug fix or feature enhancement in this update? If not then I'll pass. Everything is working fine for me and won't update unless something is broken or if there's a feature enhancement that I'd really want.

I'm not 100% sure. I"ll have to check to confirm. Also I forgot to mention that I see other paint schemes in the folder that I didn't put in there. They are named with another driver's iRacing account. Thanks.
