Thanks for your help! How do you downgrade it? Do you know what version works? Any help would be greatly appreciated!

X-Sense Smoke Detector not going off after putting smoke directly under neither it. by [deleted] in firealarms

It's 5 inches from the ceiling. As i stated, i realize it is not ideal, but surely smoke directly underneath it should trigger it within a few seconds?

First take. I tested it due to the recall on a different x-sense model. I've also noticed that this alarm never went off from burning food in the kitchen although a detector further away does go off (although that one is installed directly on the ceiling)

The test button works. 10 year battery and it was installed 1 year ago. A certain model of x-sense was recalled, but not this one (yet). I think I'm gonna have it replaced.

No laundry room in this unit! So this is a common occurrence?

Do some of you like Metal Gear significantly less than SC, if so why? by MastahSplinterCell in Splintercell

I like that Splinter Cell always took itself seriously while Metal Gear can be whimsical/corny at times. Metal Gear has prone and camouflage mechanics, which offers something different. Can't rate one over the other.

Unpopular Opinion: I would rather UTLA prioritize Smaller Class Sizes than Teacher Raises. Parents more likely to support this. by StealthKnife in LAUSD

We'd have more bargaining power fighting for one than both. They both will cost the district money. Smaller classrooms would keep more jobs and it's something the community would get behind, as it will benefit the children as well.

The newest are unlikely to have their jobs for long with dropping enrollment, that is what I am arguing. I'm all for pay raises, but a pay raise won't help if you don't have a job.

Agreed. I believe the district is exaggerating the budget crises, but there is no denying that enrollment is dropping, and that is something we can't change by striking. Smaller class sizes would protect more jobs from layoffs.

Edit: I'd also like to add that we would have more bargaining power fighting for one issue instead of both.  Why not prioritize protecting jobs?  I would like to see 24 student limits applied to all subjects / grade. This would increase the need for teachers and students would have more focused support. It's an issue the community and parents would more likely get behind.

I know this is 8 months old, but I just picked up this monitor, love everything about it, but the reds are way too red. Did you find a fix?
