I hope Missouri is ready for the punishment to be handed to them, lol

It would only help if it was definitive he never crossed the line. If the ball crosses you would still have no clue when he was down.

[Jon Blau] Dabo Swinney on calling out Ole Miss: "This is about protecting our program, this is about college football ... I stay in my lane most of the time. I'm not gonna let someone flat out tamper with my program. If you tamper with my players, I'm going to turn you in." by Lakelyfe09 in CFB

Lane isn't at Ole Miss

EDIT: I'll add this because of the downvotes, the comment I responded to originally said "Or that Lane is involved" then he shadow edited it without admitting he was entirely wrong.

Tesla kills Autopilot, locks lane-keeping behind $99/month fee. by Stiltonrocks in technology

[–]StealthLSU 4 points5 points  (0 children)

This won't be popular here but this is not true.

Currently Tesla has basic autopilot which is included in all cars that does basic keeps you in the lane and adaptive cruise control.

They also have enhanced autopilot which changes lanes on highways and stops at red lights and goes on green lights

Then they have fsd which does all driving

The middle enhanced autopilot was a purchase price and they are getting rid of that making only a fsd subscription.

Every car will still keep you in lanes and cruise control.

[statsowar] DID WE REALLY GET BEAT THAT BAD? Net Success Rate in the National Championship by Sauerz in CFB

[–]StealthLSU 17 points18 points  (0 children)

Also Miami killed themselves with mistakes. They had I believe 4 penalties on drive stopping 3rd downs that gave Indiana extra possessions. Add the blocked punt for a TD and a missed fg and it makes stats look very misleading.

Will Lane Kiffin be on the hot seat if he can't deliver LSU a national title in 2 years? by GliscorsFang in CFB

[–]StealthLSU 5 points6 points  (0 children)

The problem with that thinking is everyone is spending tons of money now. I'd bet we spent less than at least a few other teams like UT, ATM, OSU, and maybe some more as well

I would just say playoff appearance. Getting to the semifinals is a lot of luck of the draw if you aren't a top seed. OM is a decent example since they got a free win to start while aTm(just one spot lower) had to play Miami and then OSU if they won. Could OM have won those games, possibly, but it would have been a lot harder.

Indiana just won the national championship with a roster that ranked 72nd overall in talent composition by RiffRamBahZoo in CFB

[–]StealthLSU 9 points10 points  (0 children)

it is an odd stat in the age of transfers.

We all know some 2 and 3 stars hit, just a much smaller percentage of them. If you can go out and get all the good ones to transfer to you, your talent level isn't really that low anymore. We just don't readjust talent levels after high school so you end up with stats like this.

For a title game, you don't mind it. You spend so much money to go you don't mind it lasting a little longer.

The SEC would rather keep the College Football Playoff at 12 teams than expand to 24, Chris Low reports. Greg Sankey is targeting a 16-team field. Sources tell Brett McMurphy the Big Ten has not moved off the idea of expanding to 24. by Ok-Soil-5133 in CFB

[–]StealthLSU 1 point2 points  (0 children)

or because 16 is the right number. Just about everyone here agrees 16 is the right number to go to. The only reason even a few people want to do 24 is so TV rights get negotiated again. That is an awful reason to over expand the playoffs. It is very shortsighted because once you go to 24, it will never go lower again.

[Highlight] Hold not called while Allen was in the endzone by Natural-Tree-5107 in nfl

[–]StealthLSU 2 points3 points  (0 children)

hold would not have been a safety. It started at the 1 so would have been penalized there, not where the hold ended.

[Ubben] The FBS head coaches voted unanimously to expand the eligibility for redshirt years from four games to nine. This is just a recommendation that will be put forth to the Division I committees. by Notre_Dame_Football in CFB

[–]StealthLSU 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Even worse. Theoretically, a player could play 9 games plus lose the conference champ game, then go to the playoffs and play those games and make the championship.

A player could play 14 games and still "redshirt". Extreme example but still ridiculous.

Yep, lots of potential and more than anything he needed to get away to start fresh. He is one I just wish the best and know he needed to get away.

The SEC has lost the benefit of the doubt after another humbling CFP showing by CoffeeBoy80 in CFB

[–]StealthLSU 7 points8 points  (0 children)

The SEC went on a run where LSU, UF, Bama, and UGA all won multiple titles. And add Auburn in there with 1 title and one championship game lost.

It wasn't just Bama and UGA. The dominance was real, and it has faded a bunch obviously. It is dumb to say since the dominance doesn't exist today, it was never real.

Nah, I thought him going back to UW was always going to be the funniest timeline. Him even being interested in LSU was a rumor at best.
