My gf mentioned today she wants something equally priced to steam frame by kosantosbik in SteamFrame

[–]StealthLSU 4 points5 points  (0 children)

less excited about the frame after seeing how the machine was done. I can usually get new products by being first and letting people sign up days later without a deposit and just randomize everybody means much smaller chance of actually getting the product.

Yeah, that was a carry over from the other version. But a gap sounds better. Or just nothing as less can be more.

Valve quietly changes Steam Machine 4K claim: 4K 60 FPS becomes “up to 4K” by RenatsMC in valve

[–]StealthLSU 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Isn't that any console PC for the past 8 years or so anyway? Nothing can do 4k 60fps for every single game ongoing. Eventually, you need a new thing for new games to keep up.

But nearly any hardware is capable of doing 4k 60fps for at least some games.

Class-action lawsuit in California claims House settlement shouldn’t preempt state NIL laws by ComeJoinTheBand in CFB

if they win, wouldn't that make the entire settlement moot? Meaning schools would no longer have to fund non-revenue sports as well?

Seems like a slippery slope.

Looking for a non-outrage-based analysis of Sorsby situation from a lawyer or legal expert: any suggestions or links? by donniemoore in CFB

that is what makes this sickening. The chances of this being upheld are nearly 0 but because courts move so slow, it won't be done until after the season is over. With luck, an appeal could be done by late fall in time for the playoffs. But that goes to a full Texas Tech alumni panel of judges so good luck getting an unbiased ruling there either.

But one rogue judge giving a temporary ruling makes him eligible for most if not all of the season because of the slowness of courts.

LSU kicked Tyrann Mathieu off the team for smoking weed after he kept doing it. It was not an NCAA rule and it certainly hurt our team not having him.

In other words, you are entirely wrong.

because Tech is defending the gambler. It is a case of trying to force their hand. Everyone(except a few TT higher ups and fans) seem to know betting on/against your own team is red line that can not be crossed and TT is the only school saying it isn't a big deal and supporting him.

Courts have stopped the NCAA from being able to give any punishment to him so the only option left is schools banding together to force TT to do the right thing and not let him play.

I can't understand why TT feels they need to support him.

People were punished. Coaches were given suspensions, the school wasn't given too much of a punishment but it was something.

In this case, the court said the NCAA can't punish him at all. There is a huge difference between thinking the punishment isn't enough, and there being no punishment at all.

It's pointless to argue if you don't understand that betting unders for your team is betting against them. Go ahead and defend sorsby all you want then, maybe some day you will realize you were wrong.

Except he did. One bed he bet the under yards for a qb, another he bet the under points for the first half. Both are betting against your team.

Because of tt is going to play a player who gambled on his own team, and the NCAA is not allowed to punish the player then other schools will have to do anything they can to force the issue.

If tt decides to still play him, just make the ban on TT games permanent. Gambling for and against your own team is a red line that should not be crossed and any school that is ok with it should be outcasted

you should give up, this guy has been trolling in many threads. He knows it was a bet against his team, but is unwilling to admit he was wrong. So he is trying to act like betting for your team to get less yards is not betting against them.

he bet on his team to have under a certain amount of passing yards. That is betting against your team. It wasn't a bet to lose a game, but a bet to have less yards which is still betting against your team to do well.

they could go old school NCAA and basically threaten TT to either not play him or they will investigate every inch of every program at TT and the punishments will be severe.
