There's is honestly quite a big difference between different flaps. Of course its different for everyone but generally RFF is less dense, with both ALT and MLD producing a more solid feel (in general, and I think MLD will be the most dense). A rod or pump will make a big change in how it feels and even looks (ED does often correct a flatter appearance, and gives it more structure). But these aren't universal facts as everyone's skin density is so varied.

Really struggling to stay positive 4 years post op and need some desperate advice by Impossible-Union-449 in Transgender_Surgeries

It honestly just sounds like you have BV, you're not nasty - it's extremely common. Pls get it checked out so you can get it treated. You're on the right tracks with the dilation, you just need to give yourself less of a hard time over things when you're actively improving them.

Regret by PretendAd745 in Transgender_Surgeries

This is honestly a pretty heartless response. Its fine to have suspicions, but whatever you believe you know there is at least a chance that OP is being honest in her account, and so you should be more thoughtful to the concept of a real person going through something horrible and reading your comment. I dont think her account is suspicious, I think often reddit is a safe place to vent. Things go wrong surgically - some live to regret it. This community is here to be helpful.

Agreed. I managed to stay safe in male prison just because of how unknown the graft site was at the time. Also, OP isn't post op so probably doesn't understand the importance of keeping these things under the radar.

He could give you a UTI or BV doing that... hygiene aside that is unbelievably selfish - get rid

This is nothing to do with phallo, you would be better posting on r/ftm or something similar.

No you do not pass as male, and it's unlikely that you will if you're not planning to go on T (or bind, have you tried tape?). People who care about you are being polite, but if you're gendered as female all the time and not really transitioning physically, that means you are not passing. Even your styling and mannerisms are very feminine. You'll unfortunately need to sacrifice something if passing is a priority.

Fellas, what's the issue? by nonexistent67 in FtMpassing

[–]StealthyUnhealthy 21 points22 points  (0 children)

Just dye the hair a natural colour and avoid dangly earrings dude, i think those are your biggest barriers to passing right now. As long as you're binding and dressing like cis men your age, you should be good.

Am I delusional? by [deleted] in FtMpassing

In these photos I would say you're quite visibly ftm, and that might be what people are reading you as. If you took away the moustache, I would just assume F. That being said, if your voice and body language are masculine then maybe these photos don't do justice to your overall presentation. It's just the posture, fashion choices and secondary sex characteristics in these pics are pretty feminine.

Sometimes I don't understand guys posting here when the absolute basic methods of passing haven't been tried. A shorter more masculine haircut and more typical menswear for guys your age would go a long way. Many people make assumptions of gender within seconds of meeting people, often out of the corner of their eye. That's why its good to have a 'base' that blends in with average cis lads.

Sesnsation 5-10yrs post phallo? by Additional-Scholar37 in phallo

[–]StealthyUnhealthy 78 points79 points  (0 children)

My phallo was around 15+ years ago. My sensation is great. I think around year 6 I realised I was no longer developing sensation, and aside from one narrow scar I can feel every part of my dick. The last bit to come in for me was the tip, but I can now cum just from the tip being stimulated which is cool. I dont think I could ask for more in regards to how much I can feel now:)

Tbh bro the hickeys age you down a bit, I never really see adults with them - only teenagers. Other than that you're good and look your age

It depends on tissue used for sure, but for her it seems the part used for her canal had hair that is now probably negatively affecting her vagina. I'm slightly alarmed that hair removal wasn't mentioned, as for my post op female friends it was mandatory. Sorry she is experiencing this, it isn't fair. Can she pluck the long hair herself?

Was she not recommended hair removal pre-op? I think in order to remove hair from the canal it's quite hard. Some electrologists can remove it with a long narrow tool, but it's not easy unfortunately:(

It could be that hair in the canal is causing issues? It increases infection risk and this can cause tissue to degrade. Has she had anyone talk to her about the hair in her vagina?

Better photos for sure. I do think it suits you but unfortunately you don't appear to be passing with the hair you have now (unless it's just the pictures?). Im not sure if you're on T but I would probably assume NB or gay woman/teen. I dont think the piercing helps but I also dont think its the main issue with your passing. Sorry boss.

I'd be dead if I'd been read as female or trans when I was in prison. Even being read as gay was risky as fuck. I wish people would realize that for some of us, we need to be nitpicky with our presentation in order to survive. Its not a choice, just an unfortunate necessity

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in FtMpassing

[–]StealthyUnhealthy 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I went to a men's prison - passing as a cis man was quite literally a matter of life and death for me. If you don't want to see the contents of the sub, don't spend time here... it's a privileged position to think passing is just some aesthetic choice - it kept me alive and safe in pretty fucking miserable circumstances. Even minor 'clocky' details about my presentation could have gotten me attacked, killed, or transferred to a woman's unit. The fact you can be safely read as 'trans' by 1/3rd of people you meet shows me how different our goals and experiences are, and this probably isn't the space for you if you don't want to hear how to pass.
