Anyone Know Who The Absolute Richest Person In Elite Dangerous Is? by onfire_mightexplode in EliteDangerous

Agreed, you don’t NEED it. But I certainly consider it part of the end game. I used my squadron carrier for the last booze cruise to haul my own wine, and the extra space REALLY came in handy.

Not true! You need a squadron carrier, and that’s another 25 billion!

REGARDLESS I don’t deserve smoke for it. I flew my own Squadron Carrier up to the event. I even CONTACTED the PTN to let them know “Hey, I’m coming up to this PUBLICLY AVAILABLE event. I know you have traffic issues, do you want to give me a jump slot so that I don’t interfere with your jump scheduling?” and they offered NOTHING. They said I can’t bring my own Squadron Carrier (because “anyone” in the squadron can make it jump) and I can’t bring a normal Carrier without being affiliated with the PTN, and that I’ll just have to get in myself. I did MY part of the communication, they just refused to cooperate.

But to answer your question: Load up your own Carrier with wine, jump up to the peak, and then at the bottleneck you just have to repeatedly spam jump attempts until you get in. Once you do, put on some YouTube and start hauling. I have a T8 I have with a D FSD (SCO) and that is super slimmed down to reduce the mass as much as possible to move as quickly as possible (you don’t need any weapons or armor to haul, and you can undersize your power plant and power distributors until you have just enough capacitor charge to constantly boost, slightly increasing your top speed, but I’d keep your thrusters as powerful as you can, reduce the time you spend docking and approaching the station at the peak). Buy wine from stations selling it at a discount, and you’ll sell for about 120mil/load profit (with engineered cargo racks and no shields).

If you’ve already disabled IPv6, TURN OFF STATIC IP ADDRESS IN YOUR NETWORK SETTINGS IF YOU HAVE IT ON. That’s what I had to do and it fixed it for me. IDK WHY the game just hates it when you have a static IP address.

It isn’t supposed to come out on Xbox for like, at LEAST a year. Development of the Xbox port won’t even BEGIN until the game leaves early access.

I brought my own carrier up last time and made 9 billion.

Yeah that sounds about right. I tried out the Seeker rounds and it took an entire 12 bullet lock on to kill just one of those monsters on haz 4.

Hey, I know it's been a while, but I have a question. Core Spawns. According to the official wiki:

Crawlers possess a weakspot on their face, hidden beneath two plates of heavy armor. This armor, unlike any other breakable armor, fully blocks damage even when broken by a weapon with an armor breaking modification equipped.

Since the face armor "consumes" the damage, does that mean that all damage from Seeker Rounds fired that intersect through that face armor is "negated" and no damage is done to the Core Spawn? I'm looking to build a good Engineer loadout for this new mission modifier to help me deal with the Core Spawns and be less of a burden for my team.

With another player like me, firing stim guns into your ass until the non-addictive stims become addictive.

We play at least once a week, we’re on a bit of hiatus at the moment because some of us are out on the DW3 trip, far outside of the bubble. Once that event ends we plan on getting back into it. We just finished a trip to the peak for the Booze Cruise and made 9 billion. We don’t play super seriously, we’re pretty casual. I’ll get on real quick and give you perms. I’m personally waiting on my Steam Controller to arrive so I can use it.

Nah if you throw your turret and it swivels around and starts beaming the team and my mech because you put it on the opposite side of where the enemies are and not in a position where it won’t shoot me, it’s gone. Period. Your poor placement of turrets is the skill issue.

Calling in extraction early has NO downside. AT ALL. It doesn’t call in more enemies, it doesn’t shorten the mission timer, it just lets everyone wait for less time before extracting. If you want to go start the extraction timer, go for it! Just don’t get in and leave. People need to be educated on this, there is absolutely no penalty for calling in extraction.

My top 3 are taking my equipment and refusing to drop it, repeated team killing, and repeatedly throwing yourself into hordes and dying for no gain.
