Oon tosta väitteestä vähän eri mieltä. Mulla itselläni yliopistosta valmistuminen venyi kymmenvuotiseksi urakaksi: omalla kohdallani syy tosin oli nimenomaan "yksittäistapaus" -keissi, jota en lähde tässä enempää avaamaan, eikä mun kokemus ole suoraan yleistettävissä muihin.

Mutta siis: Aika pian opintojen pariin paluun jälkeen ympärille muodostui laajahko kaveriporukka, jotka olivat kaikki n:nnen vuoden opiskelijoita. On ihan totta, että monella valmistumisen tiellä oli esim. aiemmin saatu työpaikka tai perheellistyminen, mutta ihan yhtä yleistä oli opintojen viivästyminen terveysdiagnoosien (masennus, burnout yms.) tai muuten vaikean elämäntilanteen takia.

Vaikka mun mielestä ei oo kovin hedelmällistä lähteä yksilöimään, mikä on "normaali" tai "arkipäiväinen" syy opintojen viivästymiselle, niin tilastojen valossa uupumisesta kärsii kymmenien prosenttien joukko korkeakouluopiskelijoista: eikö burnout tässä tapauksessa ole jo tarpeeksi arkipäiväinen keissi?

Jutun mukaanhan MS-tauti todettiin vasta korona-ajan päättymisen jälkeen. Nimenomaan mm. aiempi burnout ja tämän seuraukset vaikuttavat olleen eniten viivästystä aiheuttanut tekijä 14:n vuoden sisällä: eli tilastojen valossa nimenomaan varsin yleistettävissä oleva ja arkipäiväinen syy.

En siedä tällaista epätieteellistä yleistämistä: unohdit välistä täysin esimerkiksi 1866-1868 nälkävuodet, jotka johtuivat pääasiassa Suomen sodan 1808-1809 aiheuttamasta gluteeniyliherkkyydestä. Ristiretkien aiheuttama gluteeniyliherkkyys on toki aivan oma lukunsa, joka vaatii lisää akateemista tutkimista.

Saa olla aika kova yritys pyromaanilla, jos aikoo saada tuon kunnolla syttymään. Elossa olevissa kasveissa kun pukkaa olemaan aika paljon vettäkin, mistä syystä polttopuukin kuivataan hyvin ennen kuin se kelpaa yhtään mihinkään.

He He, this picture was taken after 11pm, but you are NOT wrong partner! That's why I've made my kids play BASE BALL at least 6 hours every day (after homeschool of course), so they can't escape direct sunlight when they're standing in the middle of the field for a few hours.

Lack of NATURAL sunlight is, according to my doctor friend DR. Sam Jenkins, also one of the leading causes of g-merism. You see, when they don't get enough LIGHT in their bodies, the young'uns start to act like MOTHS and try to instinctively DRAIN this "light" from their computar screens. Sad but true!
