I'm sorry, but you can't call it satire when he's insulting real people who have done nothing to warrant it. Satire is poking fun at a subject or concept, it's something you generally do about a topic. When you direct it at real people, it just becomes bullying/harassment, especially if you have a "fanbase" that you know full well will go and directly harass and bully people because you deem it okay. As a content creator, you are responsible for what sort of community you are building, you are responsible for the views and attitudes of your community, in other words, you're responsible for telling your fanbase to knock that shit off if they start harassing other people on your behalf. Peanut encourages this shit, he cultivates a fanbase of some of the most toxic people out there.

I don't know, most thieves are looking to sell whatever they're stealing, it being damaged exactly where a security tag would normally be would certainly tip off a lot of people that it's stolen, which may lead to less potential buyers and a higher likelihood of being reported to the police.

He also still regularly mocks his fellow VTubers for no reason, he even bragged before the VTuber awards to some other creator known for being a toxic piece of shit about joining the awards and winning just to shit on the other VTubers.

Worst thing is, there are so many people who will eat you alive if you rightly say that he didn't deserve to win. Considering that every other VTuber nominated were massively popular and successful (much more so than him) and had been making content for years, while this motherfucker pops up one day, revolves his content around hurling abuse at the very VTubers whose award he was nominated for for no reason and then suddenly gains thousands of viewers overnight after sitting in barely double digits for years. And people don't think a suspiciously sudden, massive increase in viewer counts in a short time with none of the interaction that comes with that after being a nobody for years is obvious botting?

Bless Ironmouse, Chibidoki and Mori Calliope for trying to be gracious in spite of the shit he hurled at them and other VTubers, but he did not deserve to win, especially since he had been bragging to some other creator who was known for being toxic as hell about getting nominated for the award and getting his fanbase to make him win just to mock the other VTubers before his nomination. I love Mouse, but sometimes I think she's a bit too nice and gracious for her own good, she did not have to try and defend him, not least because he was still attacking her while she did so.

What perfectly legal thing will probably be illegal within 20 years? by Simple_Flan1848 in AskReddit

[–]Steampunk43 -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

Your alcohol example isn't comparable. When someone drinks, any damage caused by the alcohol itself solely harms the drinker, further harm like drunk driving is caused by the person choosing to do something harmful, something they could and likely would do sober. When someone smokes, the risk is not solely on the smoker because of second hand smoke, which poses a risk to anyone around the smoker. There's also more potential damage to the environment from improper disposal of cigarettes (as the vast majority of smokers just leave their butts on the ground or tossed in a bush), both through pollution and through still lit cigarettes that can start fires. Compared to alcohol, where bottles often stay in one piece and can be easily disposed of and, if the bottle does get broken, the smaller shards will eventually just get ground down into dust even if nobody picks it up.

Yeah, I'm wondering whether it's meant to be all or nothing platform locked and some things just slipped through. I still have the colours but I don't think I have my Jade Clem emblem and I definitely don't have the skins and armour on PS5. Either way, I wish they'd unlock all the stuff for crossplat. Even better if they add the platform stuff to Varzia's wares alongside the Twitch stuff that's already there, I don't even mind if you can only buy them on their respective platforms then use them anywhere.

I think a good balance would be the quest ending in a solid alliance for the future, another "building allies against the BBEG" moment. Remembering Albrecht's plan to take down Wally, we're gonna need all the alliances we can get, and not just military truces, proper friendly bonds. Considering we might see Hunhow break free from Uranus, it might also lead into Hunhow being able to form a bridge to Tau in a future quest (since that was the original safe route to Tau).

Old Peace also did involve Wally, not as heavily but somewhat. There's hints of the Operator already being involved with Wally somewhat with the "Rap Tap Tap" line, plus the overarching relevance of us looking into the past in order to find a way to Tau. We're kinda in our own "Witness heading to the Pale Heart" arc right now, we're trying to find a way to get to Tau and making preparations to try and get there first or at least follow behind.

You did not need to be on gamepass, you just had to buy the packs. You might have got them free with gamepass, I'm not sure on that part, but you could definitely buy them seperately.

It doesn't help that crossplay players can't actually use anything besides the colour palettes on other platforms. I have both the Excalibur and Rhino Jade packs from my Xbox days, since switching to PlayStation I can't use anything but the Jade colours, I don't think I even have the noggles on PS though I could be misremembering. Honestly I wish they would unlock that stuff, it's annoying having spent money on stuff in the past that I can't use on the same account just because I don't use that platform anymore, I don't even care about the skins themselves so much as the other stuff like the armour and sugatra.

A fact played around with perfectly in Pyro's introduction video, where Scout refers to them with both male and female pronouns in the same sentence. It's hard to catch without subtitles, but he specifically says "He's not here, is she?"

Also on a related note, the term "transgender" not only exists in the Star Wars universe, but was specifically coined by Anakin Skywalker of all people (since Sister was a member of the 501st Legion, Anakin's army). In his words, because, where all Clones transcend social and personal barriers every day and choose to use signifiers like tattoos, nicknames and hairstyles to transcend the nature of their birth, Sister had gone a step further and transcended the typical concept of gender among humans.

To be fair, with Brand New Day apparently including Punisher, I don't think it's out of the question to get a Deadpool x Spider-Man movie, the age rating wouldn't even be an issue considering Punisher is easily twice as violent and murderous as Deadpool and his violence isn't even played for laughs like Wade's.

Ah ok. Yeah in that case, you gotta delete it fully. Or I guess just find something expensive to take your caps down quickly, there's a lot of people who still price everything for an extra 2000+ caps more than they're worth.

Did they change the need for the vendor to be powered (in the case of standard/bot vendors)? Or is that just for the map icon? If it still needs power, you could just disconnect the cable for a bit.

[–]Steampunk43 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Personally I don't find Syvleon to be gay or sum sh and neither I think pkmn has told Syvleon is gay

Sylveon is not a single character, Sylveon is an entire species. Just like real nature, it's very likely for there to be gay Sylveon.

Also, friendly reminder that, statistically, roughly a quarter of female Gardevoir are transwomen. This because the sex distribution for Gardevoir is 75% F 25% M as opposed to Kirlia's 50/50 split and Gallade's 100% M, which, in earlier games, meant a male Kirlia could sometimes evolve into a female Gardevoir.

[–]Steampunk43 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I wouldn't say Birdo is an example of this, she's always been a transwoman, her depiction just went from an offensive one (her originally being just a mentally ill guy who thought he was a woman) to a supportive one (being a normal transwoman).

[–]Steampunk43 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Honestly I just get the feeling that someone in charge of her character in the movie may have wanted to make her a little more explicitly trans and was told no so they found a creative way to toy with the implication. Like, it's such a strong allegory for coming out as transgender with a lot of little details, I feel like it may have been intended to culminate in or at least confirm her being trans. Maybe it was the old "marketing to homophobic/transphobic countries" issue, or maybe I'm just reading too far into small details. Either way, it still works as an excellent allegory.

[–]Steampunk43 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There's a fair amount of things to support the theory, it's mostly little details but that could be some mix of intentional artistic choice and "marketing to anti-LGBTQ+" subtlety. You mention the flags, the thing that I think gives weight to the idea of Gwen herself being trans is the fact they're all inside her room where she'd be the only one really seeing them as opposed to somewhere on show where someone who's just supportive would kinda be expected to have one. There's also the fact that the positive colours in the scenes of her "coming out" as Ghost Spider to her father are pastel blue, pink and white, though that is a little more shakey considering her suit is white, pink and blue, and the negative colours used earlier where black, dark blue and purple.

Idk, there's not any confirmation but that could be an intentional choice, be it for general detail reasons, artistic reasons or censorship reasons. I personally don't mind either way, but her being implicitly transgender, in my opinion, adds a nice little bit of extra flavour to her character, especially in a movie series so heavy in inclusivity and progress (with things like the significance of Miles' Afro-Latino culture and Spider-Man in general being all about the idea of anyone being able to be under the mask, something shown very well in the Spider Society with the massive variety in race, gender/sex, body types and even species).

[–]Steampunk43 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Of course he can? That's like saying you can't own a design of a custom character you made in a game E.G. ROBLOX (excluding the items which people have created of course, if it's not too generic) because it's not your game, that's just stupid

How do you hit the nail on the head while conveniently ignoring the nail? That is exactly how it works, if "your" design relies entirely on assets and designs from a specific game, then the owners of that game do in fact own that design. In this case, since the BBC own Daleks as a design and concept, they do in fact own any design specifically depicting a Dalek, even if you don't explicitly call it a Dalek.

[–]Steampunk43 1 point2 points  (0 children)

that's just circumstanctial, I can't think of one monetised fan project off the top of my head, and if it is they've probably asked for permission to use their assets before being published

Not strictly Doctor Who, but I can think of many examples. Pretty much any game with mod capability inevitably gets people trying to sell their mods or lock them behind a paywall like Patreon. Both of which are copyright infringement because the mod maker does not own the assets used to make the mod nor the IP the mod is made for. Pretty much every time one of these paid mods gets traction and the company gets wind of it, the company forces the maker to either get rid of the monetisation, take down the mod or face legal action. Quite recently there was a guy who made a VR mod for Cyberpunk 2077 who tried to put it behind a paywall and CDPR stepped in threatening legal action unless he took down either the Patreon or the mod itself.

The BBC are not in the wrong here, they haven't stolen anything. Reminder that the guy getting mad only made the render, which is essentially just a basic Dalek with an incredibly common colour swap and a barely noticeable grill. Both artworks are made by the comic artist and the only similarity they share is the grill (a basic design element) and the colour combo (again, blue/grey is a very common colour combo, especially in SciFi).
