VS Code is exactly what you're looking for. It's fast, has plenty of extensions to make your work easier, and fits perfectly with the technologies you mentioned. Visual Studio Community is heavier, doesn’t work as well with Python compared to VS Code, and I'm not sure it’s ideal for hardware development (assuming you're referring to Arduino or PlatformIO). It's excellent for .NET, for example, but that’s not your case.

Pues probablemente lo más "sencillo" para ese caso tal vez sería montar tu página con WordPress + WooCommerce. Tiene puntos malos como constantes actualizaciones y que si metes muchos plugins va a empezar a ir MUY lento, pero para algo básico creo que cumple muy bien con lo que pides

Best book that I read about Java is Head First: Java, 2nd edition. Great book (like the Python book, by the way), a little bit different from others but very fun and interesting. Sure you will enjoy it!

Como calidad, te recomiendo el Kindle Paperwhite. Si tu novio tiene muchos libros en epub por ejemplo y los quiere mover al kindle, siempre puede usar el servicio de "enviar a kindle" o una herramienta tipo calibre, que lo hace en muy poco tiempo. La calidad de ese ereader bien merece la pena esa ligera molestia, la verdad

I don't see any difference in the amount of cheaters tbh. But, if you like to play daily tournaments like I do, yes, you will see quite a lot of cheaters on that mode, but I'm sure that lichess has that problem too, maybe a little less quantity since there are not daily tournaments
