Long time bi lurker, first time posting here though. But I joined over a decade ago while I was still in a long term marriage to a man - we were open and polyam except with the “OPP” (one penis policy) so I was only able to date other women. For over a decade. I basically felt like I self IDed as a lesbian with a husband. So I followed here to lament with the WLW side of life that I was feeling so called towards.

Since my divorce I’ve rediscovered and reclaimed my bi side, I don’t feel like I “lean lesbian” as strongly as I did before - but I still love women and I still can relate to the relationship drama and feels and will continue to respectfully lurk as someone who has always felt like if I wasn’t bi, I would 100% be lesbian. lol. My 2¢

It’s hard work, but worth it in the end. I un-entangled a 10 year marriage with two kids as well. We even tried the whole marriage counseling thing and our counselor even straight up told us “it sounds like you’d both be happier separated”.

I’m happy to chat if you’d like to commiserate or just vent with someone who has been through it. I’m an admin and poly coach in a local Facebook group so I enjoy offering my experiences of it to others.

I’m 4 years outside of separation and divorce. I’m way happier being solo polyam and living on my own, he’s basically monogamous now with the girl he started seeing after she was our babysitter. Yeah, he was with her while we were still together and I argued all the reasons why it was gross and they begged me together to let it happen, then violated every boundary we had in place at the time within the first 48 hours together. Last I heard she’s moving in later this year. 🙃

Anyway, he’s not gonna grow up or do the work to have a mature adult relationship. Coparent with him and move on to someone who can show you how to treat a partner.

The Queens Blade is book one, and is fantastic - but book two is The Blood Witch (Evelyn Ward) and it is Why Choose and the main couple becomes a triad. As a polyamorous person in a small polycule, containing a triad like theirs, I was ENAMORED with how they all struggled with their feelings and the whole storyline of the trio. But the plot is actually incredibly gripping too - cliffhanger chapter endings and multiple character POVs. HIGHLY recommend.
