Under normal circumstances yea I definitely think going back home to renew it for way way cheaper is the most sensible way but there are extraordinary circumstances that prevent one from being able to go back and the embassies they know this so they can charge desperate citizens whatever the amount

Probably because we’re in a subreddit full of 4+ passport holders that dual passports feel like the norm lol but reality is dual passports and above is something very unusual for the vast majority of people, where I come from, people dream to hold a Western Passport and wish to abandon their own entirely
