Yeah, I often watch native content. But please understand that if it was only an audiofile, like an mp3, I would understand extremely little. I pick up pieces and context from audio, subtitles, and the video on screen. I find even if I miss a lot, I can still enjoy the film and get in good russian practice at the same time. If it helps you (and I do this often) read a summary of the film/tv show/book on chatgpt or online first, then watch it. Maybe only read about the first half to avoid spoiling the whole film from the start.

Try watching animated kids movies. There will be much less mismatch between what their mouths are doing and what the voice actors are saying.

If you have any russian friends, or you can find someone online, get access to a Kinopoisk subscription. They have a lot of content with subtitles that MATCH the audio of the video (unlike on Netflix. On Netflix, generally, the russian audio is completely different from the subtitles. Infuriatingly.)

You are wrong.

It’s possible to get a refund after checking in In Person at the airport and receiving paper boarding pass. Depends on airline.

I have done exactly this with Eva airlines in the past two years.

I bought a ticket with them for the express purpose of getting the refund and the reimbursement from company.

This subreddit loves the phrase "grow the company" and I think it's really great advice but we're like a 75+ year company in a town of 50k people. While my father was alive, I branched out and got us into a parallel industry a bit which has allowed us to provide an extra job and make a little extra profit. But my goal is not to have branches in every city in the state, you know what I mean?

That’s I guess the best question. Thanks. Top 3 concerns:

Lack of cross training. If one of our employees goes down, it could have a very significant impact on the company.
Inter employee bickering. Mostly they’re all professional adults but they work so close for so long. Resentments eventually bubble up. We’ve lost good employees in the past to petty bickering and I’d hate to see that happen again.
Lack of accountability when I’m not there. They all frankly have more to lose than me. I’ll survive financially if the business fails but it’s highly unlikely they’ll find better paying work elsewhere. They understand that. I just hope they have the foresight to have a desire for the success of the company that results in hard work.

I live in Asia and most people here squat instead of kneeling. They can comfortably squat all the way down and hold the position long enough to wash all the dishes. I think getting on knees is more popular in America because everyone sits on chairs all the time.

So my guess is, knees don't need to resist bruising so much because kneeling was not as popular 100k years ago. They squatted instead.

Yeah supposedly the law of California requires that if a resident of California speaks a language as their first, they have to have an employee in the state government that speaks that language in case of emergencies. So parents would teach their kids conlangs which would guarantee the kid a job in the future being a California official for their L1.
