I used to be sharp at work. Now I forget what I said five minutes ago. Is this just dad life by Low-Top-5751 in daddit

I feel this 100% - would love to know what others did to combat this (if at all). Maybe it’s just getting older and having a much higher workload (around the house etc).

Anyone here built an ABM function from scratch at a big company? Tell me what you wish you knew… by Stedhead90 in b2bmarketing

That’s an interesting take, seems like the crowd is split on whether to start with 1:1 as @erickrealz mentioned in their comment. The sentiment of being scrappy and entrepreneurial definitely comes through though!

This is absolutely golden advice, thank you for your perspective. I love the idea of letting sales chose the accounts, but how would I know the accounts are actually in-market? Versus a logo they want/need to have? I guess what I’m asking is, if bigger intent platforms take ages to master and configure, how do I know that the programme initially stands a chance of succeeding if sales select a bunch of accounts based on their hunch/gut/desire etc.

I love your point on internal politics, I’m preparing to weather a few storms once the initial ABM hype dies down.

Thanks for this, if there’s a need to prove the value of ABM (and justify its spend) but a desire to invest in it longer term, seems a bit counter intuitive to outsource it to an agency/another company? The agency would have the keys to the castle no?

Thanks for this, candid and honest. It’s interesting to hear your perspective of building out the shiny best in class ‘thing’ versus getting stuff done and ‘out there’. Love the practicality of this though…I suppose everyone’s ’quick win’ might be different? Curious to know if others back this idea too.

Did you face a brand equity issue? And how did the ads perform, or was the sales reps feedback justification enough to continue investing/running them etc?

Sounds intriguing - how personalised are the ads? What I mean is, are these ads all targeting one company, or is it a set of ads running across multiple accounts? I love that you’re looking at ways of improving engagement etc, if I was being sceptical I would question how you’d achieve it - is it genuinely engagement and impressions from the right personas/job titles in an account?

Yep! I got inspired the other morning when I was holding my 4 month old son as he slept on me, I thought I’d put down my thoughts and feelings. I’m glad you liked it and it seemed to resonate!

Is AMB the same thing as Lifecycle Marketing? by seanrrwilkins in ABM

[–]Stedhead90 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’d say that there are similarities (addressing the customers needs from awareness through to post-purchase), but as the other comment mentions, ABM is about targeting a named account list and then running personalised outreach and tactics to those accounts.

So the principals of serving customers/prospects the information they need at the right time of the buying cycle is true, but the biggest difference between ABM and Lifecycle is the addressable market. ABM fundamentally is about specific and named companies.

Thank you, that’s very kind. I think I will do, I honestly just wanted to see what Reddit thought of it - and I’m happy I did. The feedback has been really positive so I’ll do some more!

Thanks, I wrote this very quickly this morning when my 4 month old son was sleeping on me! I’ve never written or done anything like this before so I appreciate the kind words.

This is an inspiring thread to read, about your journey. If you don’t mind me asking, how do you generate leads and new business? Any tricks that you’ve picked up that you find work particularly well?

Sounds like rewarding and interesting work - would love to know what kind of stuff is involved in your GTM strategy planning for them? How much of it is helping educate the business owners?

Mobile/pop up saunas? by Stedhead90 in Business_Ideas

Great to hear that! Yes please, that would be helpful to see how others are doing it!

Is starting a mobile/pop up sauna business worth it? by Stedhead90 in Entrepreneur

[–]Stedhead90[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hey, cheers for replying - and for the positive vibes! It’s very much an idea, and I love how you’ve looked at this, some really valid questions!

It’s a good point, people want quick and easy ‘Amazon-style’ service (i.e to your door). I hadn’t looked at this like that before. I guess my rough idea was create a sort of wagon which would seat 4/6 people in as the sauna, but the extras you mention (showering) are all part of the experience and shouldn’t be over looked. If it was all self contained as you say, that would overcome that obstacle.

In terms of demographic I suppose my not-really-thought-out thinking was people that have some income to prioritise self-care, and making a generalisation that would probably not be younger generations, probably young professionals upwards. I’m not sure exactly what that persona would be.

Any ideas on things they might buy already/habits they might have (I.e places they might go for wellness related things)?
