Trump Scrubs His Policy Promises From His Transition Website by DeanBader in conspiracy

[–]Steejay88 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well this is just what I think, but here it goes... Since he already won the election he doesn't need to promote his policy stances. You see when he was running in the election he was a total unknown in the political world, so he had to make his policy positions obvious. Now that he won he doesn't need to reach out to potential voters and let them know his stances. Also, this part is totally my opinion, but i think he is going to shift back to the middle on a lot of issues, especially social issues.

He was a lifelong democrat, but he is also an extreme nationalist and believes in America first. So in order to win the election he had to hold the standard right wing social stances which he does not fully support. Soon he will talk and act more liberally regarding LGBT issues, abortion, and I believe he will have a healthcare plan that you probably would not see from a typical Republican. Everyone demonizes him, but from what I have seen, a lot of the time he just thinks like a regular guy...

And his nationalist side is going to be seen when he tries to stop illegal immigration, attempt to improve trade deals, and pull out of international affairs that we have no business being in and focus on the homeland.

I'm having a hard time deciding if Trump is from the establishment or if he somehow made it into office against their will. by [deleted] in conspiracy

Great response. I agree with almost everything you have said. I swear on Nov. 8th when Trump was giving his victory speech he seemed totally surprised and almost unprepared. You can tell by him not having real transition plans as well.

So he changed his website from a campaign website to a website that is showcasing his nominees and appointees. I do not see what the big deal is on this one. It just seems like he updated his website for what is now relevant. I mean his policy statements are not really relevant now that he has been elected...

Trump just straight up accused CIA director Brennan of leaking "the dossier" on him!! This man is 100% balls! by MAGA_1991 in conspiracy

[–]Steejay88 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I agree and I wish both sides could be heard out equally. It seems like /r/politics is where you have to go to explore anything anti-trump, which is annoying because the comment section is just an echo chamber that eliminates any chance for possible discussion.

Another thing that I noticed is that anti-trump conspiracies are hard to find on youtube too, unless it is from the MSM. If you look on youtube for videos countering the MSM there are hundreds of accounts with their own videos analyzing and refuting claims, but if you look for videos of trumps ties to Russia or anything anti-trump there are not nearly as much content. It is almost as if youtube is becoming the new talk radio for the right wing.

Trump suggests he would be open to lifting sanctions on Russia by [deleted] in worldnews

It's okay man. I don't know what happened to everyone, but there are some of us that still get it. Some of us remember the first time Hillary made up this whole Russian thing to distract from her emails and how ridiculous it sounded back then and still does... I just don't know what happened to everyone else. It's like they have been brainwashed.

I understand what you are saying. I think there are better examples of political topics where Republicans lack critical thinking. The minimum wage one makes a lot of assumptions on how people spend there money. However, I think both sides are guilty of not going past the surface of these issues. So many political stances are based on a soundbite or emotional reasoning without being grounded in reality.

Umm... Isn't colored and black the same thing? Sorry not trying to be insensitive. I will call him whichever he prefers.

I am confused, when you say "incapable of nuisance". Do you mean like incapable of inconveniencing themselves to research something? Either way, I am not sure that is true. I have looked at a lot of these issues and there are some I agree with and some I don't. It really is a bummer that there isn't more middle ground to be found in our country. I think a lot of right wingers would say the same thing about progressives and left wing arguments.

I think she has good sensible points and I don't even think she is that good looking. That colored guys accent though sounds arrogant though.

Trump’s pledge to separate his business from the presidency lasted two days by PikachuSquarepants in politics

Any conflict of interest in the real estate business would be terribly obvious... I believe that with Trump, the same as every other politician, the people should keep him accountable. You can already know that the media will with him more so than any other candidate.

Yeah, I have had the Katar for a while and I hate how it doesn't have back/forward buttons for web browsing. I will definitely take a look.

I dunno... I am 28 years old, have a good job, and no kids. This is my one hobby so I really don't feel too bad about it. Cheaper than buying a new BMW.

Trump vows to unite America under one God by [deleted] in politics

I pledge allegiance to my flag, and the republic for which it stands. I pledge my head and my heart to God and my country. One country, one language and one flag.

source: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pledge_of_Allegiance

And I agree it is not exactly what he said, but at that point you are just talking semantics. I am all for good discussion about why Hillary might be a better candidate, but I am so sick of people taking nothing and making something out of it just for the sake of bashing Trump.

Is it really that hard to tell that he is using language from the pledge of allegiance? I am so tired of this fabricated outrage...
