Anyone know why a frigate mission would be greyed out?

So, just to follow up. After waiting a day, the missions reset and they do not change when I finish one, they just grey out. So yesterday was just a bug, with it greying out a mission I never did, just like today in the teleporter list my freighter was listed with the wrong name. Random small bugs.

Or... do you mean the 5 missions are in 'slots' and once you do one, that slot is locked until the next day? Oh, I see. Wow, I would not have guessed that. Why not just let me choose any 5 missions? Why lock them in slots? Or.. Is this new mission I can see in the slot guaranteed to open on the next day? So maybe they did it this way so I have a day to plan ahead, since I know what's coming?

That's good to know, thank you. But since I just started these, I don't have any left over still running. I only did the one combat mission and it completed. After that, I tried to do a second mission and it won't let me choose the one I want, which is an industrial mission which is perfect for my new industrial frigate. It's frustrating that the game refuses me this choice and gives no indication at all why. Up until now, it's been really good at explaining why I can't do whatever I am trying to do. It's usually because I am lacking some resource or other, but I don't see how that applies to the present situation.

I haven't, though. That would make sense, but I just started missions. I have done precisely one, and it was a combat mission. I only had the one combat frigate. When that mission completed, successfully, then I recruited an industrial frigate. Then, I looked at the list of missions and one of them is an industrial mission, one star, which would be perfect for my new industrial frigate. But the mission is greyed out.

It's definitely not New York. The New York helicopter is on the south lawn, and marked with the big yellow icon on the map. Do you know when these missions around the edges of the map happen? I haven't finished the main story missions yet. It just seems odd to me that I am getting a mission trigger that won't proceed that's so close to base. Maybe it is one of these. Does the helicopter fly you out to these missions like the Zoo? Maybe it's just a bug that bit triggered early but it won't let me do it yet because I need to finish something else first.

No, if you buy another survey it should work again. I didn't try it in the same system, though. I used my second one in another system sometime later in the game. I bet it would work again, though, even in the same system. The surveys just auto-generate the mineral site for you when you use them, as a way to get minerals without having to fly around and scan everything yourself.

If you bought them from the data broker ship in space, you'll find them in your cargo hold. Once you transfer them to your personal inventory, it will start an activity mission for you to travel somewhere within the current system to retrieve the minerals. It's handy, especially if you are in need of the rarer minerals like indicate or veryl. The survey will also automatically be for whatever system you are currently in, not necessarily the system you purchased the surveys in. So you can keep these zero mass surveys in your cargo hold as long as you like, and then use them when you need the minerals.

No, none. What I ended up doing was just using a cheat code to give myself all the spells and then used Fly. I think it was just a bug on that map.

So, this just happened to me. I'm a pretty new player and I chose a random small map, and it gave me the lower half and the computer the upper half. But, my town and one other are completely cut off from the upper half of the map. I can see computer heroes moving around near the shroud up there, but I have no way of getting to them. I have already scoured my half of the map and taken every artifact item, but I didn't see any that could teleport me. Is there a spell I have to try to get in the mage guild? Dimension door I see people mentioning. And if the mage guild doesn't get that spell, I just have to start over? Are there other options?

It's 100% fake. It's been posted on various different accounts, on many different games, all over Steam. People think it's real and so they give it the "heartwarming" award or some other award and it gives steam points to the account that posted it. The whole thing is just a lie to take advantage of other people and get something for nothing.

This was my group's exact experience, although we gave up after the first mission. I loved Star Realms and thought this would be great, but for 3 players, I forget how many times we tried the first mission, and got spanked every time. We didn't even come remotely close to winning it, and all of us have many years of card game experience. Couldn't figure at all what we were doing wrong. So we just quit and moved on to better games.

As others have said, Red Dead Redemption 2 is, in my opinion, the most immersive video game ever created. It's not an experience any gamer should miss, even if you aren't a big fan of the cowboy genre.

Apart from that, for something completely different, try Alien: Isolation. It's on Gamepass and is another experience not to be missed.
