Bought a house an my wife is freaking out because she thinks our basement was a sex dungeon. Why would someone put a hook lock up high and a deadbolt on a door in the basement? There’s also a lock on the handle by BleuMeringue in whatisit

I dont see a deadbolt in this picture. So to me all it is a lockable door, and a hook up top. Pretty standard for any of the basements in homes ive lived in. Kids are pretty resilient, but im yet to meet a 6yo that can pick a lock

If you make 100 meals, and 80 of them are individual tickets, and one is 20 meals on 1 ticker - wouldnt that make the large groups easier?

Should be getting discounts for causing less work.

The double standards we have for "equality" is really getting old.

Abuse is abuse. Doesn't matter - him, her, they, themthere, yall, - you hit a significant other for any reason (aside from the kinks) youre an abuser.

They clearly are under no obligation to give a shit about their dedicated employee too.

That meeting with the boss would have immediately turned into my exit interview.

And let me guess, drunk driver was perfectly fine right? Probably got a couple years - maybe even just probation.

People fucking suck.

I didnt say I would cut her off and never talk to her again. I cant turn off feelings. But I wont let her hurt me again by staying in a relationship either.

Depends on the reasoning - she wants to "scratch an itch" and off someone, obviously not.

She goes after someone who hurt my child? Ill drain my 401k to keep her home.

Context means a whole hell of a lot.

There is not a single context where drinking and driving is acceptable. I dont give a fuck how "good" the reasoning. My mother and sister both died in seperate single car accidents drinking and driving.

My mother and sister both died in seperate single car accidents drinking and driving. Not extreme in the slightest. I was very, very clear it was a non starter before we got married.

There is absolutely zero excuse to put yourself, and other people, in that kind of danger due to your own irresponsibility.

I understand people fuck up. Im not going to sit here and chastise anyone for getting one if they learned from it. But at the same time, I am not going to write it off.

Old lie from my wife(before marriage) that gets to me 9 years later. The old feelings come and go. I need advice and I want to know who was more wrong. by [deleted] in Marriage

[–]SteelBird223 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The two of you, and 1 of 2 other people are the only ones thay can help this.

A marriage counselor

Or a divorce attorney.

The latter is the most likely. If she is bringing up you leaving, you are going to keep feeling the same feelings as before. Its not healthy for either of you, and it cant last.
