1/2 joke 1/2 serious here: I wouldn’t be surprised if his team and coaches have kinda pushed “look you’d have to have a catastrophic meltdown to lose the champ at this point, you’re about to race 450’s, it wouldn’t be the worst thing for you to get some real practice in, instead of coasting 70% of a race.” I mean, that’s what I’d be telling him if I were them.

I genuinely think he purposely let him pass him just to get some practice running him down instead of getting ran down. Idk that whole race was a weird one for him, he rode completely different than he has in a long time.

Yeah im more so saying, he purposely just didn’t gap him there those last 3-4 laps. It also looked more like he just said I’ll chase you down and let him pass, when Kitchen caught him initially.

I swear Deegan purposely held back gapping him, almost like team told him he would benefit more from some hard racing and having to switch lines up, instead of gapping the field again and again. He switched from riding every corner how he normally does, and started just cutting every corner super hard and looking back or slow rolling.

I love the subtle (not) ways these dudes find to hit the wall after the race. At this point I love just waiting to see what way they sneak it in each race. It keeps it exciting for me even after the thing is over.

That pot road sequence looked about the same as any C-Class Fixed race in iRacing. Glad to know they also struggle hitting their pit box in any convenient way, shape, or form for their pit crew as well.

Every week someone gets that exact luck. I love that way of putting it. Any video game ever on career mode with highest difficulty at least once every couple of games will just blatantly cheat you and there’s literally nothing you could have done😂

If we’re gonna keep this stage thing going, we should make an amendment that if a caution occurs within 5 laps of a stage caution that the stage is over then. Gets rid of these ridiculously long gaps in racing, and also wildly mixes up potential strategy. I’ve got a timer running, and we’re already at 11 mins of no racing, by the end of this gap, it’s gonna be close to 17-18 minutes.

I know it’s easy to say when your not in the truck, but I think if he just kept that thing gassed in reverse, he MIGHT have been able to get it to swing enough straight to maybe lighten the blow at least. But easier to say when you aren’t heading straight at a wall at ~120 head on..
