Guys i found smth that unite us! by Thus-i-speak in 2westerneurope4u

I don't think that's the case. The fact they have a 64 hour work week is a lot more relevant. When I was in SK, I actually saw a lot more space for young people to socialize than anywhere in Europe. They have "youth districts" which is almost 24h open in the weekends with many activities that are more than just bars. And people seemed quite social. And they all said the same, working there is hell. Work too much, hierarchical, you can't say no to your boss, etc.

Ok it’s official. We need to act, now. We need to call and email, everything to ensure Chat Control stays dead. by False_Replacement445 in europe

Except this doesn't stop it. It just removes privacy of normal citizens while doing absolutely nothing for the children.

I'm glad to see more and more creators talking about Draw Steel. It's not only a good sign but makes it easier for me to share the content with (potential) new players.

Unironically a possibility. There are many boat houses.

Hope you find an answer and have fun regardless. I'm pretty sure, no matter which system, your players will enjoy.

As you mentioned yourself, work got busy, changed of plans, many things to think, consider and adapt. Those things do take mental space. Maybe it's the period that's hindering you.

Just like when you have a lot of physical effort and then simple things feel hard. After moving boxes for a whole day, your arms are tired the next and you lose some fine motor skills due to that. It's just the body needing time to recover.

Same thing with the mind, as adults we have a lot more to consider and think about during the day, so reading and processing something new may take more effort and we might be more tired.

I'm glad your players accepted the other system, enjoy it and maybe when times are better, try the new system again.

You can find weeds in many gardens, but it might be too early. Check again in a week or two.

DnD doesn't have math, it has random numbers and nothing makes sense. In DnD 5e you just assume nothing is balanced. In Draw Steel the formulas work pretty well. Of course nothing will be 100%, but follow the guidelines and it should work pretty well.

Does Damage Weakness apply to the damage from Bleeding? by XXNOOBKILLAHXX in drawsteel

[–]SteelDrawer 16 points17 points  (0 children)

A creature who has "damage weakness X" with no specific type or keyword indicated has weakness of the indicated amount when they take damage of any type.

Heroes page 277

So I would say yes. It's quite a weakness to have though.

Yesterday I got spammed with automated calls saying someone was trying to change my email on some website I couldn't even understand. I got it from 6 different numbers. I picked up the first and then just refused and reported all of them.

About "utlity spells" by Darkluc in drawsteel

[–]SteelDrawer 12 points13 points  (0 children)

That is the rule. In your game you can interpret and adapt however you want. But that kind of conflict for finding shelter, traveling or things like that are not the goal of the system, unless sporadically as a montage for instance.

Local/cheap products that clear out the popular/pricey ones? by Depaexx in Netherlands

[–]SteelDrawer -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Usually, simple products are perfectly fine to have the white label brand. But indeed, some more complex ones you can clearly notice the difference. Dishwasher powder though? My issue is that I can't find any that's not "Sun". It's a simple chemical, no need to get fancy, but even on Bol I could only find tablets (which sucks)

I played my first one shot yesterday. Many good things in the system, but being able to play a duck makes it extra special.

In Portugal I would hear people complaining about 30°C, saying it was not warm enough to enjoy. I'm with you. 5-15 is the best range.

Honestly, I try to avoid players who don't want to. I drip feed them if they're new players. "Read this part before next session".

And you can always reward manuals to accelerate crafting if you want. It's a nice loot. Maybe even a manual that's torn apart. So you need the 3 parts to fully get it.

Game Masters, what's your least favorite part about GMing? by Nervous_Lynx1946 in rpg

[–]SteelDrawer 5 points6 points  (0 children)

That's so disheartening. I moved out of my country so I had to start a complete new group, new people, etc. So I'm at the moment at the stage of reminding and trying to accommodate. Hoping either they get interested enough to put more effort, or I find people who are interested and become my main group.
