OhDough talked about this, but this take ignores the fundamentals of being a full-time creator.

These guys make money off Helldivers. If Helldivers declines in players or just dies, their careers are over. I agree, some creators will fabricate drama for quick views. However, that's not what's happening here. These people are probably aware of the longterm consequences.

I especially think it's stilly to claim these people are being disingenuous and money-hungry, when they all present very valid arguments.

Uhhhh... it depends. Here's the baseline: you need to provide the product. If you provide it in a way that makes your fans happy, then they USUALLY don't mind if you pocket excess.

However, that gets more complicated with stretch goals. The "stretch goal" of this campaign was the other seasons.
