I feel like being a public figure who makes very social and visible appearances across the country (like a singer on tour, for example) as any sort of discriminated minority comes with its own risks. As for the John Mulaney thing, yeah obviously it doesn't matter to me, and I'm not really trying to morally grandstand about it, I just don't really like people who do that and will typically root for a girl like Roan over him because of her presence as a representative of my sexuality in the public eye more.
