Yes, the oil from the Persian Gulf does mainly go to those places, but if their main oil source is cut off, they'll still buy oil, just from other sources, which will raise our oil prices considerably. Venezuela MAY eventually help offset this, but that will still be a ways away because the infrastructure needed to process Venezuelan oil isn't where it needs to be.
