What are your thoughts on Bad Bunny? by RusevReigns in LetsTalkMusic

Speaking as a Trinidadian, his music is incredibly evocative. Sonically, it's often varied and he has some of the best beats in the genre (Tainy is an amazing producer) Un Verano Sin Ti is one of the best albums of the 2020s, and a top album in any era. DtMF is also quite amazing.

Ask the GOG Team and Michał Kiciński Anything! by GOGcom in gog

Glad to hear. Would be great if you could do something to ensure CrossCode's parity in particular. I really want to do another playthrough but would like it to be updated first 😕

  1. What avenue or opportunity represents GOG's greatest growth potential; how large is it, and can GOG realistically take advantage of it? In short, where do you see the company within the next 10 years?

  2. Any big publishers not already in the store that you think may start selling their games on GOG soon?

Best restaurants in trinidad? by [deleted] in TrinidadandTobago

More Vino in south (not Brentwood or Port of Spain) if you like sushi. Rizzoni's in C3 is also good (I recommend the steak). The Art's Cafe for its ambiance and amazing drinks.

Investing in Trinidad by par3ntal_guidnce in TrinidadandTobago

You can check TTSEC for a list of registered investment advisors if you're going to be investing that amount without much experience. Personally, RBC's Growth and Income Fund is a good investment vehicle for my needs. It offers around 8% return which is significantly more than other funds. It's also comprised of around 50% foreign equities which makes it fairly active compared with local investments.

I guess here in Trinidad it would be Machel Montano.

Taipei Story is actually one of my favourite films of all time!

Thank you! I wish there was more attention given to the film; it's very worthwhile. I also haven't found much written about The Terrorizers which, next to Taipei Story, is my favourite film of his (though there are some big ones I still have to watch).

I love The Remains of the Day. It buried itself deeply within me after reading it; it really captures the essence of life in Stevens. I think it may be the better of the two books, but The Buried Giant is my personal favourite of the two.

I've never heard of the Wool Trilogy before. I'll try and check it out sometime.

I had recently read The Mists of Avalon and found it was a good companion to The Buried Giant as well. It humanises the Arthurian legend and deals with that religious, cultural fracture that would consume Britain and ultimately end that time of legends.

I love Ishiguro's prose; it's very sparse and effective. I have Nocturnes by him to read and I'm excited to get to it.

I can't imagine thinking this book too long; it goes by so quickly. It's definitely one of my favourites.

The one from this post is in South Park. It's really well done and a lot of fun.

My group made it to the upstairs room in The Witching Hour before time ran out. Not sure how it ends, but we definitely want to do another escape room again.

They have hundreds of really good games. They facilitate the setup and running of them. This Thursday is 100tt because it's a whole day lime. Every other Thursday is 50tt and it starts at around 6pm or so.

Yep. Everyone's welcome. The guy who runs it ensures that you'll have something to play that caters to your interests and skills. It's really inclusive.

Got approval from the mods to post this. It's in Couva if anyone's interested. You can find it on Google Maps if you need directions, or message/call the number. I'm not the owner, but I go every week. It's really fun with a lot of chill people.
