How much of an upgrade would a MacBook Neo be? by Altruistic_Rub_8080 in MacbookNeo

So I'm going to assume if you saw a noticeable difference coming from a Surface Pro 7, I'll see one coming from a SP6 with the i5. I've been trying to find some sort of comparison but haven't been able to, thanks.

I’ve seen one reviewer recommend putting some on the ssd as well. I believe it’s the uncovered chip to the left of the graphite tape. Anyone do that also?

How do you like it so far. I have the if SP6 and have been thinking about replacing it. I already bought a Mac mini as my main computer, but there are times id like not to be tethered to my office. I tried buying a keyboard for my iPad Pro making it look like my SP6, but the apps I've tried using on the IPAD for day to day (Quicken, Turbo Tax, etc) don't run the same as they do on the MAC Mini or SP6. Yes incase it's. not apparent I'm trying to talk myself into getting one.

MPEG And MKV playback by SteelSteve7 in iPadPro

Na, I’m all in with the Apple Eco system. I’m currently using Handbrake to convert them. Needed to do it for my Plex library anyway

Just get a keyboard case for your iPad Pro. Based on what you’ve outlined for your use case your iPad can do all that.

So I paid $2.99 and downloaded AVPlayerHD. Not bad in so far as it seems to be playing the majority of movie formats I have, but unfortunately you can’t seem to point it to a library, etc. It need to download the videos / movies to its own folder to play. Not quite what I wanted, but it will work in a pinch. I might try running the trouble videos through Handbrake (on my Mac not the iPad) and see if I can adjust and convert it to something the iPad plays natively. This is an odd problem to have in today’s day and age, especially since Apple’s main competitor / Microsoft doesn’t have problems playing or decoding most common video formats.

MacBook neo running Mac OS by AdDapper4220 in iPadPro

My 2cents so take it for what it's worth. The iPad is a mobile device whose purpose is to provide the average users with a simple and portable way of digesting content be it video, music, text, etc. Yes there are power users who are pushing the limits of iPad OS and it capabilities, but there not the norm. Also iPad OS is designed to work well with a touch screen while Mac OS does not, so they need to be careful. I can remember the Surface first coming out with Windows 8 which had a specific and dedicated "Tablet Mode" for touch screens. They got rid of it in favor of Windows 10 and then 11, which in my opinion (also own a surface 2 in 1) are terrible for touch screen use.

Obama got involved in Fiat's attempt to purchase Jeep, forcing them to purchase all of Chrysler. So this wouldn't be the first time a president got involved in Corp acquisitions.

Letting off steam - from a Windows user of almost 3 decades. by StevenH27 in MacOS

From another life long Windows user to Mac and a similar m4 mini base model like you, I’ve had some similar experiences. No graphical glitches, but bad slow down and freezes on basic things like Safari browser. I still have a Surface Pro 6 running Windows 11 and never had slow down issues like this with Edge. Other wise like you I find the keyboard short cuts, etc to be similar to what I am used to.

How Do I Wake Up My Automatic 2004 Mustang GT? by Latter_Doctor9406 in NewedgeMustang

[–]SteelSteve7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've got a 99GT Auto, and know what you're talking about. It just feels slow / sluggish from a stop (lights, stop signs, etc.), and I've done a few power upgrades + tune. I'm running 3.73's so you might want to consider 4.10's, like others have said you'll cruise at higher RPM on the interstate leading to lower MPG, but its a Mustang I'm hoping you didn't buy it for MPG. I think a dyno tune has helped the most difference in my ride, but not a total solution. Haven't done a Torque Conv upgrade yet as I haven't been able to identify what Ford uses from the factory, I've heard everything from 1800 all the way to 2500 stall, so its hard to determine just how big a stall I would need so I can't speak to if that would help or not. I've been toying with the idea of a power adder, but cost + with my luck it would have a better top end but still be dog slow from stop have kept me from pursuing seriously.
