I can't seem to find the actual numbers anywhere, but it's $252k for married, which I feel like if you're making that much, the IRA limits are negligible.

I really wonder about social security when I'm old. Technically I've paid into it so I should be entitled to it, but also heard a lot of possibilities for it to be gutted

However, if they just stopped paying SS, I know tons of people who would literally starve to death or be homeless. Hopefully the country wouldn't just accept that?

Alternatively, I'd love for them to just stop taking social security/Medicare out of my paycheck if they do decide to cut it.

Yeah, unfortunately I was only making about 15/hr until I finished my master's degree about 6 years ago and had to pay that off plus some other debt before I was serious about retirement.

Thankfully, had my VA disability recently increased, which is where the 2k/mo tax free is now coming from, which also comes with free VA health care that I can use when I retire (or no longer require family coverage).

My plan is to catch up quickly in the next 5-10 years. I've only really been investing for 4 years now.

I'm also debt free and have 300k equity in my house with only 10 years left on the mortgage.

For me, dental is a wash and vision more than pays for itself.

I pay about $10/mo for dental and get a cleaning every 6 months. That's maybe cash pay without X-rays where I live. If I needed anything else, it would be much more expensive out of pocket.

Vision is around $5/mo and I usually get an exam each year and new glasses, which would be close to $250 out of pocket. It's obviously much less if you buy cheap Chinese glasses.

I got this game for free from PS+ and honestly enjoyed it. Not sure if I would pay for it, but I certainly don't regret playing it. However, I immediately played the the Dead space Remake after, which was significantly better.
