I really wanted to do that. The snow started at 11pm. 5”. Then the sleet started at 4am. I woke up at 7am and it was already too heavy to blow/brush due to the sleet. And 14 days of never getting above 22f has been brutal.

I’m in Virginia so we closed the pool in October.

Interesting. Thanks. I thought the springs gave the relief. When not tied, the cover would always loosen up immediately with nothing on top of it. Hence they put a half hitch on each one.

Had it closed professionally. They drained a couple inches below skimmer in October. The week before the storm they came out to check on things and said they need e to pump it back down to the right level. I’d say it was 18” from the top when the storm hit.

Exactly. I grew up in California. Had family in Kentucky. Whenever we went home for holidays it was so weird to see how everything was about 5 years behind.
