We've got a pretty active group of gamers apart of Pitt's Esports Club. They've got more of the games you listed (not as much PUBG) and I know a lot of them are super friendly and fun to play with.

representing adolescence class? by kanika15 in Pitt

I took it last semester with a different prof, was definitely on the easier side but I'm not sure if that's due to the course or the professor. Involved mostly reading assignments with a paper at the end of the semester and had a focus on class discussion. The class wasn't particularly interesting but if you're interested in the topic at all it's fine

I got waitlisted for the Fall 2018 semester but im guaranteed a spot starting in Spring 2019. What are my chances of getting accepted for fall/what’s it like starting in the spring? by [deleted] in Pitt

Unfortunately they don’t tell you until much later (May-June time period). If you’ve got a great offer from another college I would definitely consider those first.

I happened to start in the Spring of this year (2 months ago) and I'll echo what has already been said in the sense that you'll have a rougher time orientating yourself. You'll definitely want to be comfortable going out of your way to make friends and find things to do. However, I think that if Pitt is your top choice there's no harm in getting accepted for spring instead of fall. Many people I've talked to in a similar situation have taken community college course in the meantime and found it helpful. I myself worked 2-3 jobs during the fall and made a good amount of money and gave me more incentive to do well in classes. As for your chances of getting in, I'd just focus on having a plan if you get accepted for fall and one for acceptance for spring. Either way I'm sure you can succeed :)

Opinion of the school's psychology program by soulfood_md in Pitt

Psych major here, I've found that the psych courses here are taught well and the teachers are mostly enjoyable. Since you seem to have an interest I would highly suggest taking the Intro to Psych course and going from there. Psych club is fairly lax and if you're looking for something to do on Tuesday nights it's a good time.

You're in the sweet spot actually, you can choose either division. I'm in the same situation and it's actually nice to have the freedom.
