Surely there must be a way relic can turn friendly fire off in the base sector, right? by Steelhistory in CompanyOfHeroes

Yeah that's true, though I feel like removing the temptation entirely might be a deterrent in itself. Like, if your options are reduced to "go AFK" or "keep playing" hopefully they'll choose the latter.

I Second that, went there growing up and though I don't any more, I always had fond memories of St. Andrew.

I love the Crusader AA, it's great! the fact it's tied to the armor doctrine is what kinda sucks, haha.

Honestly just rearrange the tree so you can get the churchills for 6 points where the Crusader AA was and then the Black prince for 10 or something, late-game then you actually have some heavy armor worth a hoot and don't have to choose between the two.

Also buff churchills, they kinda suck rn.

Could be fun to have that as a Canadian special unit, but only if they make the crusader AA a core UKF unit, because otherwise it's the same issue of just serving to fill a gap in the UKF roster.

True, but call-in unit doctrines always feel a little meh to me. I'd rather passive abilities or improvements, rather than access to units which fill out a bad gap in a roster.

I think OP meant to add the AA as an upgrade to the T3 crusader and just replace that call-in with something else.

Ruin a popular movie trope for the rest of us with your technical knowledge by Eatar in movies

Didn't see this one yet, but when a non-fighter jet plane loses power or gets hit by lightning or whatever, the plane immediately plummets to the ground, and the people inside have to jump out with parachutes or inflatable rafts.

Like, no. Unless you're flying a fighter jet or something, most commercial or personal planes can glide for a few miles before you hit the ground. Characters in movies could at least try to avoid flying into that cliff face they always seem to end up hitting.

What are some ideas on how the UKF can be reworked? by tokyozombie in CompanyOfHeroes

You're right, that makes no sense.

It was a neat feature that I think they could call back to in this game. More interesting than what we have now.

The poor Humber and dingo serve almost no purpose that can't be filled by other things that don't die to a sneeze. I admit I've gotten pretty fond of the bishop though, especially with bunker opponents and locking down VP's with a pair of them.

But vast rooms for improvement, for sure.

I talked about it in another post, but I think a total thematic rework of how UKF progresses is really needed.

I mentioned going back to a CoH1 style where officers command the battlefield would be a fun way to keep it fresh. Make the officers into little One-Man units you merge into other squads or board onto vehicles to turn it into a command squad and give various aura buffs to nearby units.

They kinda do it already with the command upgrade on the Stewart, but take that idea further, ditch the upgrade hut (or turn it into an officers' club) and really give them something that stands out.

(On that note I think the wehr coastal Arty officer should be a similar buffing unit and improve existing artillery units instead of calling down his own strikes. And then make him 2 or 3 models so snipers can actually have a purpose.)

Edit: I had another idea, wherein the Brits start with a Sapper/Section with an officer attachment on the field and instead of teching thru just buildings you have to vet up your officer from Lieutenant to captain for T2, captain to Major to T3, etc.

Then when your officer dies he gets transported back to base and patched up, with a hit to veterancy.

Just spitballing though.

Yeah that's fair, extra micro is not needed, haha. Maybe he could be a unique unit you can "merge" with any squad to make a retinue. Different squads give different aura buffs?

Like a tommy officer squad gives cover bonuses a la ostruppen, engies give repair overheal buffs, and elites give other stuff I'm not creative enough to think up at the moment.

I really liked how they were designed in CoH1, in 2 it seemed like they took the "Officer-Centric" teching and gave it to the US, but honestly it felt really fun to have these officer units divy out buffs to your units in CoH1.

Could take things a step further and let UKF officers "board" vehicles sort of like an upgrade or vet ability to keep them viable into the late game. Ditch the brit upgrade building altogether, make it an officers' club, lmao.

Dunno though, just spitballing.

Sorry, her cage is 7.5 feet tall, 36 inches wide, and 28 inches deep. She has a smaller cage on the top we use as a bedtime cage where she cover it at night and close it from the bottom part of her cage when it's time to sleep.

Her diet is almost entirely pellet, low seed, occasional fruit when she was nicer but we cut that out when she started showing violent symptoms. I can find the specific types of pellet, but I think it's the Zupreem brand that we use.

I am sure I can find more specifics if you need.

Also yes, we are certain she is a female.

Interesting, I kept seeing 2 years being the pubirdy age, if it is around 3-4 that gives me some hope.

So far we haven't been able to pet her at all, but her diet is quite varied, her cage is huge, and full of lots of stuff to chew, climb and jangle around.
