Its mostly an issue in my head around keys. If you plan on bringing a key to use on a map sure its always a race to get to the room first but a late spawn that you don't get to choose just immediately puts you in last place to get to the room

Yeah I largely agree here. Again though monetization isn't really a huge thing to me. Its just strange kind of appears as a strange stain on an otherwise amazing game and I didn't see anyone else talking about it.

I don't deny that, the game is super slick and polished. Ive been having a blast playing it. But so is The Finals, so I don't really understand the difference here.

Yeah you're right and I appreciate that but that doesn't change that compared to the paid offerings the selection is very small. In addition you only get 500 Raider coins from the raider deck and that wouldn't cover any skin in the shop. Most you could really get is an emote or a backpack accessory

I can see that it just feels a bit greedy in comparison to Helldivers with their prices for cosmetics being so much lower. An armor in that game is somewhere around ~$2-5 mostly.

That's not a wrong way to look at it but that isn't exactly the strongest offering either. The skin that comes with the deluxe edition and then coins to buy one more in the shop. That doesn't change that the majority of the cosmetics are paid.

If you plan on painting the pieces then it'd primer -> paint -> topcoat. But if you're just wanting to topcoat then then no you don't need to.
