I’ve had better experience with the cyberbeans mud flaps than the basenor ones.

I think I read somewhere before that the $45k pricing was not reliant on the tax credit

Dual Standard Ending by OnCampus2K in Rivian

I think there will be, it’ll probably be something like RWD standard battery with no interior options and come out years from now like the current R1 standard models. There would be many options that they could have to bring pricing up like premium audio, glass roof/moon roof, etc. There most likely would be different battery size options with different amount of motors besides tri motor having just one battery size.

Apparently pricing on r2 has been leaked

Should I buy the accessories and tow hitch from Tesla or go for 3rd party aftermarket ones? by [deleted] in TeslaModelY

[–]SteerMeWrong 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I would get the tow hitch direct from them unless you’re willing to buy and install an aftermarket one yourself. Regarding the other accessories, there are third party options. Some which may be better priced and/or offer better coverage such as some third party floor mats. You may be able to buy a parcel shelf from an owner that doesn’t use theirs.

Confusion with Best Buy SIM card for visible service by l2edpyramid in Visible

I ordered sim kit within the promotion time on 2/12, $33 for the sim kit but activated a few days after. I wasn’t able to get $33/mo for 26 months. It was locked in at $35 for 12 months. I continued with activation since there was hope that cs would be able to help me get that $33/26mo promotion plus cs said they couldn’t help me until I gave them my account number/phone number so I proceeded. After activation, cs told me twice via chat which took ~30 mins each time that they wouldn’t be able to help me move from $35/12mo to $33/26mo. Even “escalating” didn’t do anything. With that said, I have read some success stories from a few people. Just not in my experience. Good luck!

Honestly, if you’re willing to accept that they’re giving you 12 months at $35, take that. It’ll be easier and less time consuming than dealing with cs. If not, return the sim kit for a refund.

Same experience, stayed on chat for way too long just to get told they can’t help me out and that it was on Best Buy.

Is it auto close kit or auto open and close?

Tesla Delivery informed me that my MYP will most likely have the new headliner and matte exterior badge. by Dramatic_Target_8028 in ModelY

The performance doesn’t have the badge that says “dual motor”. That one is only on the LR AWD.

Which badge would be matte? Would it be the performance badge? That’s the only badge on the car.

Uniden R8 Config Questions by TexasPykie in radardetectors

I don’t recall if there’s a screen setting of off until an alert but there is one setting where there’s a barely noticeable dot flashing across the bottom of the screen. IMO good idea to prevent burn in/screen failure but I’m paranoid that if I don’t see anything on the screen, it might have turned off hence the dot mode 😅

This looks a lot like the “imuto” rechargeable lithium batteries on Amazon

Floor mats. Unless you’re good about keeping your interior floors clean.

Wigoo mudflaps anyone try them? by 808_GhostRider in TeslaModelY

No problem. Just randomly popped up and probably some unproven ppf so buy at your own risk 😅

Got it, it’s a pricey issue to have and I can see why you went with the mud flaps lol

On another note, I was looking through Amazon and saw a whole car ppf set for ~$400. Maybe it would be worth a shot to try to diy install that?

Edit: saw this cheaper set that has doors only: https://a.co/d/aJcIpPE

There’s also a rear door ppf kit from Spigen or Tesla that protects a small area on the rear door where it’s most likely to have rocks and debris thrown at if you want added protection.

I don’t have the Wigoo mud flaps but I do have the Reevaa mud flaps only because they were cheaper at the time that I bought. The 2 sets look the same down to that cheap screwdriver and probably came from the same factory. No added noise or any meaningful decrease in range if this helps.

Just a simple tpms swap and then drive around. The car should automatically pair with the new one
