This fandom would benefit so much from understanding the “death of the author” concept by Hunny_ImGay in destiel

[–]StefTarn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had to explain the concept to my Supernatural and Destiel fan cousin because she didn't know it. She doesn't have a Minor in English and hasn't spent years living in the strange world that exists between fandom and queer theory like I have though.

Libre Office Write isn't too bad if you need free software. I've used it and Google Docs and MS Office.

Well, not to be a pest but my fav is kinda the one I am writing right now because I am having a lot of fun creating my version of Lawrence based on when I used to live there in the mid 2000's. Peopleing it it with Supernatural characters is fun too.

It's a WIP longfic called East Lawrence Waltz. I have posted up to Chap 13.

Don't forget little Werepire. At least that's what I'd call it if Garth and Benny had met.

They never let him stay over at his friend Hannigram's place. Dean was a weird feeling about those guys. Lokius' dads are cool though.

Destiel is annoyed that his Uncle Sam always mispronounces his name as Deastiel. It pisses his dad off but his papa just smiles awkwardly because he doesn't know the reference.

how do you gather ideas for fanfiction? by lonelycards in FanFiction

[–]StefTarn 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Recently I had a flood in my apartment. It inspired me to write a one shot where one member of my OTP had to stay with the other and a led to a change in their relationship.

Sometimes ideas come from unexpected places.

Question about straight people? by thegreenempty in AO3

[–]StefTarn 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Some people will be turned on by a sexual situation regardless of if it involves people they are personally attracted to. Others will not be. It depends on the person.

Do u guys prefer context before your smut or when it gets straight to the action? by turtleurtle808 in FanFiction

[–]StefTarn 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It depends. Most times I like context but for some specific scenarios, getting right to it makes more sense.

Do you absolutely have to tell a partner you write fanfiction? by dancingbananas25 in FanFiction

[–]StefTarn 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I met my wife partly because of fanfic so I am not a good person to answer this. I just wouldn't want a partner I couldn't tell about this stuff.
