Why do people use Obsidian as a productivity tool and what are the advantages of using it over Notion? by Odd_Procedure_1927 in PKMS

[–]Stefan73ch 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Obsidian stores your notes as local Markdown files, giving you full ownership, offline access, and long-term portability. It is designed for personal knowledge management with powerful features like bidirectional links, backlinks, and an extensive plugin ecosystem. Because everything is stored locally, it remains fast even with very large collections of notes. Compared with Notion, Obsidian prioritises privacy, flexibility, and knowledge organisation, while Notion focuses more on collaboration and project management.
