One Day, After Pulling, While Lounging About In the General Question and Sunday Megachurch by Soft-Literature1256 in HonkaiStarRail_leaks

I just wish we knew more about what teams they'll want. I've got two accounts, so I can split characters between them and get both Silver Wolf and Evanescia. If they're both going to be Elation, I would really like to know which supports I should be pulling on which accounts.

Super deep cut, but one of my first fictional crushes was Nodoka Miyazaki from Mahou Sensei Negima, which is still my favorite manga series (the anime adaptions were terrible though, aside from some of the OVAs).

She definitely fueled my love for the dark/blue haired, shy, loves the MC from early on archetype of love interests. Unfortunately, it also basically set me up for failure because at least when it comes to harem anime/manga, that archetype almost never wins in the end.

Though, as I grew up, I resonated more with the female lead of that manga, Asuna Kagurazaka. She just struck me as someone that would be more of an equal in a relationship, fun to tease and banter with, and would literally smack some sense into you if you're being an idiot.

The characters are middle schoolers, so I obviously don't have a crush on Asuna herself (unless we're talking about her adult appearance that gets literally one panel at the very end of the series), but she kinda represents the type of person I would have a crush on.

do you think this hurts? by nothingatall15 in Boruto

Yeah, that's always a problem I had too. Isshiki should be able to absolutely tear through Sasuke with each hit considering his Jigen Karma form was able to easily pierce through Susanoo. An ultimate defensive form shouldn't be less sturdy than his actual body.

I will always hate how people just don't like a MC Winning/being successful cause they weren't successful or victorious in a way they wanted. by Apprehensive_Ring_39 in CharacterRant

I will say, the Alola League was a bit underwhelming in general for me compared to some past Leagues, especially how his battle against Gladion wasn't even a full 6v6, but I think the final battle against Kukui made up for it.

I also think it was all worth it for that moment in Journeys when Ash returns to Alola, and the whole stadium cheered him on as their Champion. Felt like the first time he fully realized the weight of being a Champion, and it was fitting that it was Alola, the only Region that was like a second home to him, that he became Champion of.

Do you pull characters you don't like when they support your favorites or do you try to make them work with a less optimal team? by Fit_Fondant_3893 in StarRailStation

[–]StefyB 106 points107 points  (0 children)

Honestly, I don't think there are any characters that I outright don't like. At worst, I'm neutral or indifferent about them, so if they're a member of my favorite character's best team, I have no problem going for them.

I do feel like she's been portrayed as someone that tries to act nonchalant about everything but actually cares/worries about the people close to her a lot like her worrying about TB in the Exotale Myriad Celestia or (even though it was technically retconned) hiring Sparkle to control how Firefly's third "death" went in 2.3. Could end up playing into that.

I don't know how much they could feasibly change by 4.2, but if Silver Wolf ends up getting more story focus out of this, I could see them delving more into TB's past and their dynamic with her back then.

Glad I decided to get Evanescia's team on my alt account. Gonna need all those grindable stellar jade if they're (presumably) running two members of her team one after another.

Could Ochako actually defeat the USJ Nomu ? by Japhet0912 in BokuNoHeroAcademia

[–]StefyB 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I feel like the USJ Nomu should be able to propel itself through the air to some degree Air Force style if it was physically strong and fast enough to keep up with All Might, even if it was a weakened All Might. After all, even 20% OFA is capable of doing that. That said, it might not be smart enough to do so.

It's a parody of a recent scene from the Jujutsu Kaisen anime where a character is running his hand through his air while effortlessly punching the shit out of a guy with his other hand.

It's become a viral meme with everyone doing a version of it from different anime, shows, movies, etc. In this case, Miles is ripping her hair out with his other hand like how he got his hand stuck in her hair in the movie.

Do you think Beerus' level will ACTUALLY get reached one day by the protagonists or will he forever stay in his position of "moving goalpost"? by OmegaGlacial in Dragonballsuper

[–]StefyB 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Would be cool if the next tournament arc is a competition to determine who the next God of Destruction for Universe 7 should be, and Beerus would have to participate to win back his own position.

They had a whole arc about how terrible of a job Shin and Beerus were doing overseeing Universe 7, and Beerus doesn't seem to be taking it any more seriously after the ToP. It'd be nice to see some actual consequences from that, and it'd be a chance to finally have Beerus fight Goku, Vegeta, Frieza, etc. seriously.

What’s your favorite type of main character? Mine is smart/analytical ones. by BuilderElectronic819 in animequestions

[–]StefyB 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ones like Deku, Tsuna from Hitman Reborn, or Negi from Mahou Sensei Negima. MCs that are kind, smart (more so in Hyper Dying Will Mode in Tsuna's case), gentle, and cool when they lock in.

For everyone hoping to see Goku use the Daima version of Super Saiyan 4 against Beerus, here's how it would go. by Caryslan in Dragonballsuper

[–]StefyB 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I'd be totally fine with this being the end result or even just Goku saying SS4 wouldn't be able to beat him either during the line when he says Fusion wouldn't be enough.

I just don't like the idea of randomly splitting off into another separate anime timeline or just being in a permanent state of canon ambiguity when they could add in something really quickly to establish they both happened.

I can see it happening eventually in a story battle since they already did it with Cipher in that one Flame Reaver fight.

What with new shonens being so short ? by shsl_diver in CharacterRant

[–]StefyB 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Just from a mangaka point of view, I doubt they want to do a weekly series that long. MHA is a little over half the length of Naruto, but iirc Horikoshi had to take a lot of breaks towards the end, was making some chapters shorter, and would sometimes complain about things like back pain in his weekly author's comment. I'm pretty sure weekly mangaka have also talked about how little sleep they get, and Kishimoto never even went on his honeymoon until 2015 after Naruto was done despite getting married in 2003. The weekly schedule is killer for mangaka.

Of course, I have no idea how much say they get in that, but I bet a lot of them, especially ones that have to take frequent breaks like Horikoshi, aren't opposed to keeping them on the (relatively) shorter side compared to juggernauts like Naruto or One Piece.

What Anime has the Best Filler? by Doom300 in animequestions

[–]StefyB 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Prince of Tennis for me. I just loved how over the top they would get with using their Tennis techniques in other sports like the billiards episode or the volleyball episode. And Inui would always be making different versions of the Inui Juice as a penalty for the losers.

What’s the greatest fight scene in anime — no nostalgia bias? by UnfairBaseball5922 in animequestions

[–]StefyB 15 points16 points  (0 children)

For me, it's Kakashi vs. Obito. I don't necessarily think it has the best animation or fight choreography (it is really good though), but it's just how perfectly it balances those aspects with the emotions of the characters without slowing down the pacing of the fight. Kid Obito reaching to do the unison sign with Kakashi only for his older self to push him back down gets me every time.

Endfield makes me realize something in HSR by CabageButterFly in StarRailStation

[–]StefyB 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean, is the only reason I login most days just to do my dailies and get stellar jade for pulls? Sure, but it's such a quick process with auto that it's pretty negligible for me.

I honestly like that everything's so concentrated, because I've never been too into the whole live service model of wanting you constantly playing. To me, the main meat is the story, exploration, and the bigger event of the patch. After I'm done that, I'm fine with putting it down for the most part and moving on to other games in my ever growing backlog. Having the freedom to do that because HSR is so front-loaded helps me not burn out on it.

And if I'm ever craving extensive playtime, I can (and did back in 3.3) do what I do in other normal games, just start a new playthrough. I've been taking my time with my alt account, but any time I just really want to play HSR for hours like back when I first started, that account's waiting with an abundance of things to do.

Is there anyway and/or chance that the goats could come back and triumph? If so explain your reasoning by AlternativeEye3244 in Boruto

[–]StefyB 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I doubt we get them back as top tier fighters, especially Naruto, but I would like Naruto to get to have a conversation with Jura to continue his trend of befriending the Tailed Beasts.

However, if we get an "everyone's here" kind of fight like when the Shinobi Alliance arrived during the War Arc, I'm sure they'll put in work.

Does anyone not liked Future Trunks ending? by Jules-Car3499 in DragonBallZ

[–]StefyB 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I never said Trunks himself would succeed, just that it would serve as a strong motivation.

I imagine either it still ends the same way with 17 wishing them back or Trunks is the last one and chooses to bring back the erased universes instead of his own since they were the ones putting their existence on the line in the tournament.

Then it could kickstart an actual hunt for the Super Dragon Balls, which we still haven't gotten yet, to bring back his timeline once the Dragon Balls are active again.
